I've been seeing a huge uptick of people saying that being against babyfurs means youre basically pushing a conservative anti-queer agenda and... idk how to feel about that. I feel like this is a dangerous line of thinking.

and that culture over time seems to have mutated into something completely different from that of pony fans that grew on other platforms. It stayed separate for a while, but I think w the political climate the 4chan side is making themselves known again and taking over the general fan space.

The culture definitely has split in two. It all kinda started on 4chan, but over time the less radical ones moved off of the platform and either made their own websites or identities elsewhere on YT or IG or something, spreading the fandom there instead. Then you have the ones that stayed on 4chan,

I mean I hate to say it but the "brony" fandom as it was in the beginning does kinda have strong roots in 4chan, hell the word "brony" originated from there afaik. Just because it does doesn't mean we owe these people any kind of respect though.

it sucks how much of a prevalent group theyve become in the fandom. i know theyve always been there from the start, but they used to stay mostly hidden and contained to their corner of the internet i feel like. now theyre so loud and outspoken and everywhere

no youre right i dont disagree, i just think its also wise to worry about peoples safety, especially when police cant just be there instantly. unfortunately a lot of these cons are straight up run by these people too. theres a new one coming to my state thats run by the same people as m4re fair🫠🫠
