The far right are not just attacking people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds - they’re also coming after LGBT (and especially trans) people, while using the same dehumanising narratives! πŸ˜–

Please unite with them also!

Soham murderer taken off life support and close to death, BBC understands The convicted murderer has been in hospital since late February after being hit on the head in prison.

I hope his death brings a welcome closure of some sort for Holly & Jessica’s family, and indeed for the residents of Soham.

The recipient of at least two violent attacks whilst in gaol will have made his time inside particularly dismal, a plight hinted at by a failed suicide attempt early on in his sentence.

Yet my feeling is he’s got off lightly, having only served twenty-four - albeit miserable - years.

Hi @jennifermckiernan.bsky.social
In your article regarding Mr Yusuf’s party’s proposal published today the first image is captioned describing him as β€œShadow Home Affairs Secretary”. I know I may be mistaken on this but isn’t the term β€˜Shadow…Secretary reserved for HM’s Official Opposition?

It’s not particularly clear in your repro but my favourite, excitement-inducing part of the poster is the proudly displayed illuminated advert for getting the Underground to Brighton in 15min or Glasgow in 2hr45. I’m less enamoured by the Bovril promotion above however.

Concur completely! And of course yesterday was the first anniversary of Janey’s death, but today (and all this week) Ashley is a contestant on Richard Osman’s House of Games.
I’m assuming the family are unlikely to see this but I hope they know how much Janey is still missed, and by so many of us.

A mini tribute to the very much missed @janeygodley.bsky.social on this week’s Have I Got A Bit More News For You. I don’t think I’m misinterpreting the expression #SuePerkins showed if I suggest it was humour presented with sincere warmth & respect for Janey.

Apple AI tool transcribed the word 'racist' as 'Trump' Experts have questioned the company's explanation that it is due to the two words being similar.

I’ve been a sanctimonious Mac head for several decades now and here is a perfect example of why: in relative terms at least, Apple products simply work. Properly. Correctly. Accurately.
