Prior to leaving ministry almost a year ago (after 17 years), I had to slowly recognize the incongruity of my income being tied to my faith. Whatever my state as a believer is now, I’m still figuring out, but it really was “spiritualizing capitalism” as stated here.

I finally burnt out/stepped out.
