Beer stein in the shape of a penny farthing bicycle, with the front wheel, which is where the beer goes, shaped like a ball. The rider is a lid for the stein, which is openable with a thumb-activated hinge.

The Barbarian's Beverage. A History of Beer in Ancient Europe.
This could be an interesting read... but I don't really have time to whip through a quick 200 page book this morning www.academia.edu/7196416/The_...

Saw an old associate has gone back to prison for four months at 61 years old... not something on my to-do list. I like my big soft bed.

I can see why drinking sake can lead to drinking a lot of sake.
I'm currently about 500ml into a 660ml bottle and am already thinking about putting a second bottle into the fridge.
If you get a good one (and this is probably only a 6/10 as it's my "bad" batch) it's just so easy to drink.

HMAS Leeuwin JRTE (Junior Recruit Training Establishment)... although it's not at a time when I was there (80-81), but this was our parade ground, the centre of life as a JR... the Swan River, Western Australia... Summer uniforms... like it was yesterday.
