I think Yesterday's Enterprise, in addition to being some of my favourite Star Trek ever, probably has my favourite battle as well, keeping a fast pace, but also the naval feel. Excellent soundtrack, too.

The feel of this episode reminded me of Macross/Robotech.

I remember my parents banning me from that film for a while, even after letting me play the MS-DOS Robocop 3 game (which I like a lot). When I watched it as a teen, that shotgun scene showed me why.

On a side note, I only like the first film, but I love the ZX Spectrum and Game Boy games it had.

I've read two full novels in one day.

The Fault In Our Stars, and the novelisation of Star Trek VI, both excellent and moving stories, albeit VERY different.

I'm on a massive kick of military science fiction/mecha stuff (especially Robotech/Macross and Gundam stuff, and their associated model kits), and I keep seeing Patlabor mentioned, so that's on my itinerary.
