That's interesting that Red was a struggle. Were you underleveled? Maybe just because of how well known his team is, it seems like if your team is on level I would feel that Blue would be more of a struggle than Red, and that the main challenge of Red is breaking the level ceiling.

As a kid I definitely struggled with Lance because of the changing movesets of his Dragonites, which made it hard to predict who to send as it might have coverage for my ice/electric type.

Got shiny oshawott in my copy of pokemon white! These unova starter hunts have been stupid lucky for me. I did about 171 before doing the 64 that got the shiny tepig according to my counter, but got oshawott in even fewer resets. I'm ready for Japanese pearl to take 20k resets for turtwig
