Congratulations to the lovely Charlotte Wood for being shortlisted for the Booker for Stone Yard Devotional. What an incredible achievement. And congratulations to Samantha Harvey for winning it for Orbital. Delighted to see so many women writers recognised this year. β€οΈππͺ
Everybody, including me, has been sharing their gaming hot takes, so to rebalance the positivity, hereβs an ice cold one:
Video Games are the greatest form of entertainment. They encompass the best aspects of film, music, and literature. With gaming, a new adventure is always on the horizon.
Happy to be added π
Thanks! So far so good π
Sounds fun!
I wish there was a way to export follower lists from twitter. before the takeover, and hence my disengagement, it was a great place for rich discussion. I want to connect with those people here... #academictwitter #autistictwitter #writertwitter
Feeling optimistic about #bluesky
Online post from Callum Stephen (he/him): Society: "Autistic people do not understand hierarchies." Me: *knows that hierarchies exist and understand how they operate, but doesn't value them and doesn't believe any human is: a) more important than another; or b) should mistreat/or exploit those "lower down" on the hierarchy*
Agreed! For me, it's all about the story #gamer
First time posting on Bluesky. Finally ditched Twitter. This seems like a much more reasonable, respectful and productive space. π
#Autism thread: For parents of little ones whose children have just been diagnosed, I just wanted to say my boyβs now 16. It was a hard road for a long time, so many therapists, so little understanding from others, much loneliness. But he emerges as the most sublime human. Iβm so proud of him.
