at FC I asked @ishaway.bsky.social if she’d made prints of a lovely Anubis painting she did in 2022. To my surprise, she offered me the original instead! Moral of the story: if you like a particular work an artist did years ago, ask them about it - it may still be looking for a home

FC was very chill this year. I met w/fewer people but the quality was much higher overall. Enjoyed seeing several close friends, one nice new boy, and had a couple good DD conversations about Anubis with artists. Unsure if I’ll be back next year…depends how my efforts to become a dad progress

I just read Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea quartet (of which Tehanu is the last) recently and they are all absolutely lovely

went to the opera for my second time yesterday (Das Rheingold), a splendid evening out with a cute boy - leaves me all the more eager to see other operas
