The problem is vets used to be professionals (and still are) but the corporate world took over, telling them how they could make more money off of the back of pet owners. Many vets had no say in the practice that they worked for and now the dream is gone and pets and pet owners are also victims.

I have nothing against vets. They largely absolutely LOVE animals. But the business side of the vet business and the business side of animal pharma/food is disgusting. They prey on pet owners who will do anything to support their pet. The industry has become abusive.

Vets are expensive because private equity bought all the vets and now bleeds you dry by holding hostage your pets access to healthcare.

We can throw another $500,000,000,000 at the Pentagon this year and spend $1,000,000,000/day on a wholly useless war, but we can't afford to hire doctors and nurses to take care of our veterans? The United States is such an irresponsible, messed up country right now.
