They got a hit today!
They got a hit today!
Across America people are waking up and tuning in to see Ohtani and Japan says, "We have Ohtani at home."
If an indy baller comes out if the bullpen and K's a big leaguer on three pitches someone has to offer him a contract, right?
Brandon Sproat's tenure as the Brewers' hardest thrower this spring (99.8 mph) lasted exactly one Misiorowski pitch (99.9 mph).
This take is going to annoy some folks.
There are plenty of "What do fans think about (subject)?" questions that are interesting or useful, but "What do fans think about the health of the league?" isn't one of them.

It'd be cool for everyone involved if the Brewers brought someone who knows these minor leaguers down to tell us about them on broadcasts.
Chris Mehring, Javik Blake et al have years of context on these guys and could make these late innings a lot of fun.
I also like Luis Lara a lot, having watched and talked to him regularly during his time with the Timber Rattlers.
Learning that Murphy loves him, however, made me laugh out loud.
One could say he's on Murph's Short List.
Re: the Yankees retiring Sabathia's number
possibly the most brutal strikeout in baseball history
Men's NCAA teams leading their conference in eFG% on both offense and defense this season:
Michigan (B1G)
Saint Louis (A-10)
St. Thomas (Summit)
Charleston Southern (Big South)
Bethune Cookman (SWAC)
Le Moyne (NEC)
Vermont (America East)
Orange you glad you got this update?
I was going to post about this but I knew you'd be on it.
Iβm so happy for the U.S. women and so crushed for the a Canadian women. What a great game. EVERYONE WATCH THE PWHL NOW AND YOU CAN KEEP WATCHING ALL THESE PLAYERS GO AT IT!
I was about to complain that this is like going 8-on-8 in OT in the Super Bowl, but when I thought about it I decided that'd be amazing.
Maybe more sports should play with fewer players in OT in the playoffs? Imagine an 8-on-8 Super Bowl.
Any reason why we can't just give both teams gold?
Even Peacock itself is talking about the men during the women's game, asking me to set a reminder for their game during the women's gold medal game.
Abbey Murphy being the first player into the penalty box in US/Canada was today's most predictable thing.
For much of its existence Weird Al's own Twitter bio referred to him as "the Eat It guy."
You can pretend your favorite Al song is the right answer, but you're just kidding yourself or overcomplicating the question.
Didn't Weird Al's own Twitter feed bio refer to him as "The 'Eat It' Guy?"
Why is it so much fun?
kenny albert loves talkin about dudes. doesnβt matter if the u.s womenβs hockey team is in a tight semifinal at the olympics, heβs gonna talk about some dudes.
"And that's a four yard gain for Smith. Did you know his wife and kids are here?"
"Uh...yeah?"
...
...
"Anyway, it's 3rd and 6."
Just once, I would love to see one NFL game that talks as much about the players' kids as every women's hockey broadcast does.
*Downgrades Orioles projections by three wins*
My office is a streaming-only space this morning, unfortunately.
It's very much like when your kid is too full to finish their vegetables, but insistent they've saved *juuust enough* space for dessert.
Is there anything more frustrating than when streaming content is all glitchy and low quality, then it goes to commercial and they're fine?
Heβs not a self-promoter, but I continue to enjoy @bykylelobner.bsky.socialβs weekly Shepherd Express #Brewers entries shepherdexpress.com/topics/kyle-...
