Oh no, how long before they got over it?

My Harry was like this, I was in hospital for a few days, walked in and laid down on the couch and he was straight there on me getting a cuddle and telling me about the shocking service levels he’d experienced in my absence. It’s a lovely relationship you are so lucky.

I live a mile outside the London border and confirm that we also have Sharia windmills in the suburbs. Our bus services are shit though.

I never knew Maya as a kitten (she was five when she came to live with us) but she is still and always will be my little baby kitten.

I did use it when I locked myself out of the house we were renting without a phone and had to get the bus to our house which we were having renovated, where my OH was.

It was also the first and only time I have used my Apple Watch as a phone but that was a waste of time as he had ear defenders on.

Ah OK I am in TFL zone 6 so use express travel on my iPhone.

I often wonder why I see some people unlocking their phone. I don’t need to do that just tap it. Is it their settings?

Laps are for for cats, not for laptops

Maya ate some very fine string type thing and I didn’t know until she tried to use the litter tray and ended up with string hanging out of her bum. Emergency vet trip and it was a short piece so she’s fine.

How are things with you Gonzo?

And you do travel past pretty windmills which is exciting

That’s the downside of not flying, it’s expensive. But so much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Also we went to Amsterdam in November, so a similar time and they had a light festival, many of which you could see on a night time canal trip.

I’ve been to both and prefer Amsterdam but they are both lovely and great choices. Amsterdam is also easy by train from London.

I just googled to convert it, I was surprised.

Stay safe and warm all.

I was in Stockholm once and it was -32c inc windchill and I felt physically sick from the cold

For me it would be L’estaminet in Covent Garden. It’s been closed a lot longer than 5 years but it was our favourite, just a really nice mid-range sort of hidden away French restaurant with great food. I miss their cheese trolley so much.

Some houses, typically detached ones in villages, never have had street numbers and so are named instead.

Some who live in houses with a street number also add a name (eg Dunroamin, 6 Oakland Close) and think it makes the house seem more grand, but it’s just an embarrassing signifier you’re a twat

I stopped using Goodreads because of this issue, it meant many of the reviews were worthless

I’m in, I’ve never read the whole series. Might be a challenge but it’s good to have a goal!

I’m in UK & grew up with horsey parents, we had 3, mother & her 2 daughters. Sadly the daughters caught laminitis (farmer dumped barley in the field) and 1 died. The other was only 8 or so & her feet were bad & she couldn’t be ridden. She was a much loved part of our family for another 21 years.

These videos of someone talking and Jon Favreau gurning in response are so cringeworthy. Just stop.
