Thanks Paul. This is all so heart breaking.

There is a lot in our two hour show you're choosing to ignore, including the interview that came right after. But for some, social media posts about outrage and negativity.
Social media. Slander. Memes. I keep hoping the better.
In case truth matters, never "both-sided" kidnapping and murders. Just in case.
Is AI a powerful tool or a growing risk?
How does it affect you?

We did 40 minutes live and unscripted on this. I used the word "heinous" three times to describe the murder of a couple who wasn't involved in criminal behaviour. Sorry that made you laugh.
But it wasn't incendiary. Again, the show was a measured conversation about the Prime Minister's approach to Trump. Comparing it to debating the Holocaust is a grotesque exaggeration.
I understand what you're saying. We have a different perspective. Our question today launched an intelligent conversation and we don't believe it in any way undermines Canadian sovereignty.
It's a question for people to answer. It resulted in a smart, engaging conversation.
My conversation with @ianhanomansing.bsky.social on the CBC News Network last night on the latest twists and turns in the #Trump/ #Greenland/ #Denmark story.

It was a quip. Banter. So bizarre you'd post this.
My favourite social media posts are criticizing me for something we didn't do.
This year, I will occasionally challenge evidence-free negative posts: how did our Checkup edition "sane-wash" Trump? Examples please.
This is a new one: our boarding has just been delayed because "the plane is too cold."
Vancouver. 11 am. December 26th. Hope you're having a good Boxing Day.
Please stop. You're totally and wilfully misrepresenting what our program did. You make social media pointless.
Every once in a while I'll break my own rule and respond to absurd, factually incorrect posts. Didn't "suggest it would be good for Canada." Not even close.

More than one in four people on Prince Edward Island do not have access to a primary care provider. The problem is most acute here but it affects millions of people across the country. It's our focus on Cross Country Checkup and The National from Charlottetown today.
When I was asked to host a conversation with Canadian best selling author Louise Penny at UBC's Chan Center, my only request was she do an interview for the Sunday National. Fortunately she agreed and it was terrific. It's on tonight and then will be posted online.
youtube.com/watch?v=3O6M... We weren't able to coordinate an in-person interview but always a pleasure to talk to this Jays super fan. (We also chatted about his day job.)
Did you listen to the show? Did you hear the voices who spoke so candidly about addiction? There was nothing remotely MAGA about anything I said. I'm so tired of the exaggerations on social media. It's the opposite of what we do on Checkup.
Every once in a while, I will respond to a particularly inexplicable insult. In what possible way did Sunday's Checkup make me a "talking head of the MAGA movement?"
Where else but Rick Mercer's Stand Up for Canada tour would you get a perfectly executed joke about Snowbird jets and the senior's discount at Shoppers Drug Mart. Great show in Vancouver tonight!
I know. It's gonna happen (I accept I don't qualify for the Sophie B Hawkins' exemption π).
Decidedly not BlueSky in Vancouver today. This is the view downtown from 10th and Cambie at noon. About as smoky as I've ever seen in the city.
Friday night in Kits.
Perfect Vancouver summer night at the Nat.
