Protest only works when there’s a feedback loop, protest, change, and acknowledgment.
If we skip that last part and just keep punishing, even after they change, we train companies not to listen. Not to improve.
We’re not just shaping outcomes. We’re shaping the rules of the game.
Genuinely asking, if a company listens to our protest and does the right thing (like Disney bringing Kimmel back), shouldn’t that mean something?
If we never show we’re glad they listened, why would they ever listen again? Protest without follow-up isn’t accountability, it’s just punishment.
If people don’t resubscribe then what is the incentive to listen to the protest?
Whichever governor does the best job of protecting their constituents from this bill will have the best chance of being the next president, I’m looking at you @governor.ca.gov and even @governorwalz.mn.gov

“Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections,” is basically the “Save Act” which we also need to be talking about. The Save act wouldn’t have made it through the senate bc of the filibuster so while you’re distracted he signs this executive order. #womensvotingrights

Im not sure this is a fair assessment. These senators decided it was more dangerous to temporarily shut down the government in an environment that wants to permanently shut it down. I don't like what happened either, but part of me also fears they might have been right. #stopthemuskrats

No, we should not. What we need is explain the truth in simpler terms, give people something to vote for instead of against and stop voter suppression. Voters shouldn’t have to do so much research bc many don’t & just vote w/their party. Make it easier and more honest.

It’s actually about inefficiency. They aren’t saving any money this way. What they are doing is making it impossible for these departments work. The goal is to cripple them and then to privatize them.
I mean they should be standing up to make it more difficult vs. not doing anything. Too many of the of the things in their budget proposals are too dangerous to not lift any fingers.

Leaving isn’t really the answer, maybe if we hadn’t all left when first took over it wouldn’t be as bad as it now. It’s better to be there to support productive sane voices than to just let them run wild.
