Customizing your linux like you're on r/unixporn is gonna require some understanding of the pieces that compose a desktop. For me, I learned that by installing a window manager like niri (my current fav) and figuring out the other components i needed. You customize those components along the way
Cachy is arch based (meaning it uses the same package management strategy as Arch Linux and also pkg manager -- pacman). I recommend Cachy if you're newer to Linux over raw Arch BY FAR. They all share the same degree of customizability bc the ability to do so is independent of distro.
