The killing of Iranian children during an illegal war is an impeachable offense (not to mention a grave crime) and Congress should really act like it.
15 Republicans in the Senate could end this nightmare before it somehow gets even worse.

If there were credible allegations against a Democratic president that he had punched a 13 yr old girl in the face after she bit his penis while he was raping her, Fox would be running that shit on a loop 24/7 and calling for his arrest/execution let alone his impeachment.
"you need to learn how to use gAI or you'll get left behind!"
counterpoint!
the absolute fastest way to render yourself unemployable is to build your skillset around a tool that does your thinking for you, that everyone has access to, and that one company can change or take away at any time
You should be able to criticize your government anonymously online.
Full stop.
"Age verification" legislation is just a pretty name for "forced online ID checks," meaning everything you post is associated with your government name
We have to stop this.

Iβm so tired of seeing people bash Bluesky for being an echo chamber when X is an actual intentionally constructed echo chamber that is demonstrably radicalizing people across the political spectrum who still use it
bsky.app/profile/anja... double-tap strikes, regardless of the target, are usually understood to be Geneva Convention violations because they target the wounded and aid personnel who are specifically protected under international law. The target here makes this an especially staggering evil.
PEPFAR, the program to stop hundreds of thousands of children and adults from dying of HIV/AIDS, was $6.5 billion a year.
I think that every mention of this war should begin with the fact that we intentionally targeted 160 little girls to die at school. Like I am simply never going to get over this. Itβs how we started this war. Thatβs never gonna fade away.
Rule number one of being incredibly lazy at work is that if you find a way to automate your tasks you never say that in a place your boss can see or hear which is why, even by their own terms, people that won't shut up about LLM coding are dumb as rocks. "Yeah, that was all me man" is what you say.
Kelly: "You could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in DC and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now. They don't have a goal, there's no strategic plan. And what this is likely to lead to is, again, a long war with a lot of dead Americans."
How to win in November
The Massachusetts Department of Correction has been fighting me for months, trying to withhold data about its collaboration with ICE.
Yesterday, I won that fight, and obtained records showing that the state has transferred more than 2,000 people into ICE custody since 2009.
A quick thread:
Tennessee wants to ban undocumented children from access to a free public education, and turn school administrators into immigration informants. The Heritage Foundation wants to take that plan national. Read my latest for @theintercept.com:
True! I only first heard about him a few weeks ago from his conversation with Dr. Heather Cox Richardson. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7EL...
if not war then why war shaped
the kind of thing that gets played at a war crimes trial

Yes! The arch wiki (wiki.archlinux.org) is also a great resource!
It helps with understanding fundamental linux concepts. It gives the context needed to install apps with multiple methods (eg Steam) and has helpful troubleshooting tips for common issues.
Customizing your linux like you're on r/unixporn is gonna require some understanding of the pieces that compose a desktop. For me, I learned that by installing a window manager like niri (my current fav) and figuring out the other components i needed. You customize those components along the way
Cachy is arch based (meaning it uses the same package management strategy as Arch Linux and also pkg manager -- pacman). I recommend Cachy if you're newer to Linux over raw Arch BY FAR. They all share the same degree of customizability bc the ability to do so is independent of distro.
Trumpβs βOperation Metro Surgeβ was a militarized campaign of fear that treated immigrants as criminals and weaponized the federal government against U.S. citizens.
We need independent investigations, real accountability, and to abolish ICE.
My op-ed:
NOTE
1 Pregnant because raped in custody
2 Moved to TX because the regime has anticipated a need to circumvent state laws regarding abortion, medical rights
3 the infants in question will likely be trafficked into evangelical adoption networks or be subject the consequences of a lack of medical care
Kalshiβs line that βwe design the rules to prevent people from profiting from deathβ is obviously untrue, itβs just the company would rather let you bet on the deaths and suffering of civilians rather than dictators and presidents. @jasonkoebler.bsky.social reports: www.404media.co/with-iran-wa...
βIn some cases, Meta will review your interactions with AIs, including the content of your conversations with or messages to AIs, and this review can be automated or manual (human).β
In practical terms, this means that "data annotators" in Kenya are accessing private moments to improve AI for Meta.
#blacksky #blackskygamers can we get visibility on this?
Also:
Itβs funny if you call PayPal or visa lines and bring this up asking why they claim βadult illustrationsβ is against their regulations but betting on the death of kids is totally fine. They donβt have an answer.
In fact yall should call them at least once a day with this :)
really, deeply losing my shit right now
but the Twitter mentions were big fans so they thought it was doing a populism- this is the first ever echo chamber govt
There's lots of reasons the DoD would be looking for vendors to help it analyze bulk data on people in the US and all of them are both very bad and *wildly* illegal
