All people are seeing is some fantasy of feeling safe from Islamic Republic nuclear bombs (and that fantasy of being the Iranian people's saviors). When they'll encounter even more antisemitism and terrorism soon after the war ends, they'll be unable to connect the dots

Like Shani said - Israeli society is extremely myopic. The fact that just 8 months ago we went through a war and promised the very same threat is eliminated - doesn't register.
An on the ground view: people here genuinely believe the war is eliminating an existential threat to the country, and are also really invested in the notion of 'liberating the Iranian people' (not because they care about them much but they crave the ego boost of seeing themselves as liberators)
