Is it procrastination to choose a bigger dungeon map in order to put off the boss fight for a few sessions? #TTRPG
The state of the world has made me realize that the BBEGs in my games are not nearly evil enough.
I personally prefer βbanana hammockβ but thatβs neither here nor there.
TTRPGs are amazing machines for helping people exercise free will, and occasionally magic and dinosaurs are involved.
I like it! Creatures like that remind me of Monster Hunter-themed campaigns, or at least thatβs how Iβd use them.

Mostly Tales of the Valiant and Call of Cthulhu. A little bit of 5e thrown in to mix it up. What about you?
Ooh, I know lots of folks whoβve really enjoyed the Stormlight Archives! Havenβt dived into it myself, Iβm a little intimidated by the length of Sandersonβs books.
I love Tales of the Valiant, hope it goes well for the PCs!
Iβve struggled to finish any books recently (havenβt found one thatβs really hooked me), but Iβm currently reading The Tokaido Road by Lucia St. Clair Robson. Itβs older, but it reminds me a lot of the anime Apothecary Diaries in some parts.
I run into this a lot, because Iβm always tempted to add more play features (crafting, item upgrades, ship combat, etc.) but I forget that adds additional rules complexity that I and the players have to bear. I do tinker, but I keep my players updated of any important changes.
I was added to a list called βTechno-Pessimistsβ because of my views on AI, and I wear it like a badge of honor lol.
I know this isnβt the point of your question, but I donβt think Iβd use any system. Iβd hand the kid a d20 (or any dice) and weβd work together to craft a kick-ass Batman story. High number succeeds, low number fails. It doesnβt need to be complicated to be memorable :).
As someone who hasnβt tried solo ttrpgs before, what makes them appealing to you?
I played half a session of ICONs years ago and I still think of how cool of a system it is. A My Hero Academia or Dispatch themed Campaign would be amazing!
This hits hard
You should! I found 1v1 to be a great introduction to the play-by-post format
I use Discord, and I found the video below to be really helpful for setup. Just add or subtract channels as you need for your group.

This year I started running a 1v1 TTRPG campaign completely by play-by-post, and I love how it gets around busy schedules and still brings a sense of intentionality. I feel like more GMs should look into it to see if itβs right for them. Highly recommend!
I havenβt done much research in this space, but are there any recommended TTRPGs that simulate Pokemon or similar IPs?
Day 1 in the new home, and I managed to fall down the stairs
Post a Jedi, wrong answers only.
So weβve all heard of the book βHaving a Mary Heart in a Martha World.β
Basic, plain, boring.
I raise you βHaving an Γowyn Heart in an Arwen World.β

Great deal on the Goodman Games store! #DCC #OSR #TTRPG
Caillou of Cthulhu is going to be next yearβs A24 film
Just our regular Down Darker Trails session:
PC 1: I donβt have enough money to buy an ass (donkey).
PC 2: Does that make you βasslessβ?

Thatβs fair XD
Gricks in the D&D monster manual should start as large-sized creatures, and Grick Alphas should be huge-sized.
I feel like re-learning cursive to make custom TTRPG handouts for players is the definition of commitment to the bit
