We crammed a lot into a few days. Riverside museum in Glasgow, GOMA, Loch Lomond, Falloch Falls, the Kelpies, Sterling, and loads of little towns and villages.
We may have got a little carried away. Put in an offer on a house in Auchinleck and found out on the drive home that it has been accepted.

Vinyl LPs. One by Steve Hillage and two by Kansas
Four vinyl LPs by Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Pavlov's Dog, Hall & Oates, and Russ Ballard, plus an Ultravox 12-inch single.
Back from our 5-day visit to Scotland. I looked round a couple of record shops and so brought some vinyl back to England. Especially pleased about the Russ Ballard.

Drove to Scotland. Had a lovely time.
Now wondering if we can afford to drive back!

A long sea wall. Dunes on the left of it and a few parked cars and vans to the right.
Ayr beach today. The parking seems to be free but it's 50p to use the public toilets.
Paid because I was bursting by this point, but sorely tempted to take a dump just get my money's worth.

Bust of Kier Hardie on top of a plinth, outside a municipal-looking building.
Saw this while exploring Cumnock in Ayrshire, where up to 70% of all houses are powered by electricity generated by Kier Hardie spinning in his grave.

Huge sculptures of two horses heads
Saw the Kelpies to complete our day of tourism. This was after looking round Sterling, where I found a record shop. Oops.

We were half a mile away and didn't know about this until this morning.
It might explain why the buses were late

I'm sure you are right. Usually they are whole articles built around one quote from a 20-year-old interview. Complete clickbait.
But it keeps my mind off all the current events.

Most bands don't strongly identify with a place. But all these do, and the place is very much not London in all cases.
Might as well say that Radiohead, XTC, the Beatles or Doctor Feelgood are London bands.

D.A.F. lived in Putney for a bit (in the same house as me) in the 80s but I would still consider them to be a Dusseldorf band rather than a London band.
I'm sure Duran Duran moved to London at some point, but they will always be a Birmingham band just like Sabbath were even after Ozzy moved to LA.

Company results day today. When the company send out press releases to tell shareholders how last year was great and this year will be even better, all while telling employees there is no money for pay increases over 1.5%
As much a part of spring as daffodils.

I think I would have gone for Clannad, Yello, Propaganda and INXS.
I'm sure they all came from my corner of South-East London.

Vinyl LPs by Bob Dylan, The Beat, Stanley Clarke, and Wilko Johnson, plus a disco 12" single.
Horsham record fair today. Because of weather I took the car rather than the bike so not such a fun trip, but picked up some nice vinyl.
Got the 12" single because it has the long version of Funkytown on it.

Does this by election result mean that we will see the Greens on Question Time as often as Reform PLC now?
Not that I watch QT of course, but its the principle.

Watched the Ballerina film last night.
Exactly what you would expect and want from a John Wick-related film, apart from all the adverts on Amazon Prime.
Still fuming that a subscription service also contains ads.

6 vinyl LPs by the Blues Band, Bow Wow Wow, Gerry Rafferty, Was (Not Was) and Stanley Clarke (x2)
No rain, so across to East Grinstead on the Honda for a record fair. Ideal riding conditions.
Picked up all this vinyl for ยฃ30 in total.
Especially chuffed about the Stanley Clarke and Was (Not Was)

Photo of a massive cardboard box. And a cat.
I had a violin delivered today (don't ask!) and it came in a box big enough that I could have fit into it myself, padded with about 20 metres of scrunched up brown paper.
Is the company called Amazon because that it how many trees they use per year?
