The one near me just plays La Cucaracha on loop, which IMO isn't the best way to advertise anything where food is sold.
Recurring dreams that we live in a life-length Groundhog's Day loop. This time, the sun was burning out early. On the second run, I learned that someone was trying to escape and attempted to join them. When that failed, on the next run I decided to become an avenger for victims of childhood trauma.
Another hack of Tecmo Bowl? Ugh, I'll take the fucking hose.
All those businesses that depend on Cobol but also want to embrace Claude are going to have some capital-f Fun. ๐
No worries. I hope you're able to go back safely one day.
Why did you have to leave?
That's really cool. A few months back I made a program that hacks files up into QR codes of a given size for one-directional comm. It would be cool to see something like this for something like transferring a save file too!
It's all we can do, continue to tell stories. They are memories of the past and dreams of the future. They are fate and they are free will. Without them, we are no more complex than a set of equations.
Oh, Japan, honey... You saw how hyperconservatism is turning out for other countries and voted for them that hard?
I used Celestia (the star mapping program) to see the universe from their star system.
The Great Seedbed is named by the legend of the Mother Tree. Each seed is presumed to be a star with a planet, like theirs and ours, capable of sustaining life. The universe itself is part of a great forest.
Within many parts of the Milky Way, Sol would be super dim. But, I did some world building years ago and Sol is part of the Unsown Seeds (a constellation of stars tgat looks like it comes off of the Great Seedbed) for the alien species I was creating. (vuhe Eximfi xuxase) would be their name for it.
A decade of political anger vindicated. Arrest every name on that list, put them on sex offender registries, make sure they never work in politics, run companies, or have the pop limelight ever again. Only if we catch them all can we start rebuilding and healing.
You want the good stuff, you gotta cook. Sugar, water, clip on the candy thermometer, boil to 300F, add flavorings, pour onto a marble slab, divide up before it hardens.
Can't tell if Adventure or Noita. Let me know if you find any hiisii in the snowy depths.
The worst version of those "yes/yes" jokes ๐ซฉ
"AI has improved my productivity 10x!"
Yeah, bro, 10 * 0 is still 0.
Counters in Japan are similar in feeling to non-Japanese, particularly before getting familiar with Japanese and Chinese readings of kanji. English is mixing counters from German, Latin, and Greek... just in different ways.
Dreamt that, in the middle of a death metal concert, the late IZ came on stage to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and the crowd locked arms and sang along. That's the kind of energy I'm craving right now.
Melt ice, stay hydrated.
Pigeon Superstition 2: Pigeon Dogmatic Rat-ual
Man, 2026 just started. ๏พ๏พ๏พ๏พ๏พ๏พ
Little critters, like on the sidelines of your art a few years ago
Gotta Uber Eats some al dente cranberry juice to wring out the new year.
Are you missing any boxes/manuals?
Ey, it's Ringi the Tingi. On bass and vocals, it's me bandmate McLemon. I'm playing drums and guitar. Got me laid out like a Christmas ham, playing drums and guitar. Anyway, here's Can't Buy Me a Wonder Wall.
Oi, I'm John McLemon and this me bandmate Ringi the Tingi, and we're the Weevils. Gonna play you a song called "Lucy in the Sky with Strawberry Fields (Forever)." It's a prog rock song, with chord changes and stuff.
Back out of fitter hell. I learned that register merging options cause more problems than they solve, and that sometimes hand-implementing simple optimizations that the synthesis tool ~should~ know how to do will fix a thousand timing problems.
Dialysis, now with free radicals! They're free and radical, and so we're making formerly lame and boring dialysis cool.
It turns out I missed one (1) clock configuration option, and that was the source of all of the nonsensical bugs I've been battling, and to fix them fitter hell is back baby!!! ๐ญ
