Internment, and some hard lessons for the proponents of mass deportation
Weβve been on the phone with multiple agencies/orgs. Theyβve been completely cut off from federal money. Weβre talking housing, homeless services, public safety, etc.
Iβm calling a press conference today to explain how this could have drastic local impacts to our constituents.
Hospitals, clinics and medical schools that provide gender-affirming care to transgender youth are at risk of losing federal funding, according to a new executive order signed by Trump on Tuesday.
If youβre a federal employee, you should know this is a lie. Congress hasnβt appropriated these monies and so itβs literally not there to be spent. Also, federal agencies are limited by law to a max $25K payout in the case of restructuring.
The chaos is by design, and the intent is to overwhelm. We have to stay focused.
