It was so cool and I didn't even have adult money to buy it haha

I saw! I figure it will work again soon.
I just want the translucent candy coated iMac/N64/GBA aesthetic to come back. Everything is SO GRAY now.
I did see the new MacBook Neos but I resent that anything with a whiff of color (or gasp, femininity) gets mini-fied and weakened.
Maybe by the next time I need a new computer.
Application error for Leaflet in the Vivaldi mobile browser.
This sounds awesome! Got an error and will check later
This is a radically different idea than the advocacy Iβve seen for βdata portabilityβ and βdata sovereigntyβ. Itβs a *restructuring* of power rather than small adjustments to existing structures.
atproto and local-first, both in their own ways, demonstrate what such a restructuring can look like.
Be deeply skeptical of any argument that blames average people instead of the systems that entrap them and the leaders who fail them.
The assholes in charge want us to blame each other so we donβt come after them. Donβt help them.
A stylized comic illustration by Seth T. Hahne features Michael (Ted Danson) in the television show the Good Place. It is drawn with vibrant oranges and brush work in the background with a realistic character in the foreground. The speech bubble reads: "The real question, Eleanor, is what do we owe each other?" It's a reference to a book shown prominently in the show: What We Owe to Each Other by T. M. Scanlon, published in 1998. Artist: https://sethhahne.com/
board member turned hater - should be a lesson not to let just anyone in your circle.
I think the thing that inspires me most about this protocol is in fact that it is open. It's not explicitly against Twitter but by merely introducing alternatives, we challenge the idea that those are the only options.
That difference feels like an attack says a whole lot more about him than bsky.

Oof I haven't bought a bag in at least a year but definitely have a few people I need to share this with. Thank you! ππ½
I'm still mad they added blue sour patch kids. I think they're gross.
the organizers and lud's family talked to @nbcwashington.com
lud's lawyer spoke publicly about the case for the first time.
you know the drill.
spread the word to #FreeLud

Would love to see this studied. I don't know that Apple did this intentionally, though it definitely benefitted them.
No family plan. I paid for my own devices, and came to value being in the outgroup a lot. I had a modded iPod, but never a personal iPhone.
Nowadays, there's barely a difference.
What's a lot? π€
Teens: No. 1. Digicams shot poorly, not easy to share or export. 2. Self-image issues. My mom once scolded me because I never showed up in school trip photos, like she didn't drill "be seen and not heard" into my head. All the old heads did. π«
20s: Sharp increase for Facebook.
A frittata with spinach, onions, Italian sausage, cheddar cheese, and asparagus.
Spring is coming soon. Felt like a frittata for dinner!
Thank you for the explanation π
Something something I could have freed a thousand more...
I suspect the average 100% achievement hunters barely even see the game as a game anymore. It's a means to an end (dopamine). The political commentary is so far from why they picked it up.
Blooper reel? ππ
Hi! I'm thinking less about how it's implemented and more about how it might respond to abuse and spam.
Can I choose to show or hide replies on the longer post? How does that interact with thread settings on bsky?
Can I show or hide select replies if they're spammy, abusive, or off topic?
Seeing the replies with the longer message is really nice! I wonder if it might be the kind of thing you'd want to toggle though. π€
Commenting to remember to test it.
Haha, I had the same question and was happy to get it answered too! I read the Kickstarter page 3 times. Then it occurred to me that I could just ask him. π
Thank you Zach! π
"I don't think we need 10x developers to build great things. I think we need 10x teams β groups of people who care about the same problem, who iterate together, and who make each other better."
Not an engineer, but this is exactly how I think work should look like in general.
I had some anxiety about that too as someone who switched from WordPress to Jekyll to Eleventy.
But based on the other products in the @fontawesome.com portfolio, I don't think anything is really going to change other than the name and longevity of the product.
@zachleat.com can you say more?
Title slide from my presentation, featuring an illustration of three doofy-looking possums, one floating thanks to Eleventyβs trademark balloon. The title reads βLittle Dummies: Simple FPO Content Helpersβ
Here at @cloudfour.com, we do a lot of design and prototyping in the browser via @11ty.dev (or should I say #BuildAwesome??)
At the next free, virtual #Eleventy Meetup (March 12, 9am PDT), Iβll be sharing some of my favorite little helpers for quick and easy placeholder content: 11tymeetup.dev
I thought it was cooked after the whole DHH thing. π«
That promo video and the guy chowing down on the... sub... cake? Disturbing. π
+1. The outside food starts to feel empty after a few days, like it has no soul; garbage in, garbage out. There's something about knowing who made it and the energy that goes into that.
I can only imagine how magical eating from your own garden must be.
