Eh, personally I'd argue stuff like amnt't isn't correct anymore even on a technical basis because the VAST majority of people wouldn't recognise it as such. Past a certain point the language has evolved to make something incorrect, imo

(As someone who watches but doesn't play those games) 7 always looked really well done to me. The opening horror segments and some of the mould emergences were genuinely scary in a way most RE isn't. 8 lacked that for me, which made it hard for me to care bout it
