Y’know, when several people are all telling me that I’m wrong about something, I tend to see that as an opportunity- nay, an obligation- to self-reflect. I certainly don’t respond like a 5-year-old by accusing all of them of having poor reading skills.

My brother is 28. Welsh is his first language. He was born in Gwynedd, educated in Welsh, works in Welsh, speaks Welsh with all his friends and family. His English is a bit crap and he’d be the first to say it. Should we deport him then? Is he a threat to British identity?

Farage saying that 1million people in Britain don’t speak English- even if that were true (which it isn’t)… so what? Who cares? I wonder how he feels when he visits Gwynedd & finds that we don’t speak much English either- and we’re genealogically more British than he’ll ever be.

An ex of mine died from the same cancer less than 2 weeks ago. It’s not accurate to call him an ex, actually- he’d long since graduated to lifelong friend. He was only 44. Fuck cancer.
