Alt text doesn't have to be anything elaborate, just 5-10 words that explain what you wanted people to know about. You don't need to describe everything unless it's relevant. And alt text doesn't need to be written in formal writing style either! Just chill.
A couple of my favorites are Daina Krumins and Gunvor Nelson.
That's such a bummer. My sister's 6a battery got all bloated and cracked the screen. They offered to replace (only the) battery for free or like a $200 trade in credit. Meanwhile my 3a battery still lasts 24+ hours. Truly makes me hesitant to ever get a new phone.
@dayofthemutants.bsky.social Such a cool blog! Iβve been poking through the Strawberry Turnpike links and getting inspired.
If youβre craving more coach whistle in your experimental music diet, do I have a treat for you!

@dayofthemutants.bsky.social Itβs so true! Making a blog finally answered my βwhat platform do I actually belong on?β question by just side-stepping it to do my own thing. Plus cross-posting w/ other indieweb/federated sites is cool, tho glitchy. (Following and responding from my micro.blog rn!)
Just listened to How to Fix the Internet's new episode feat Molly White. She made an awesome criticism of blockchain's distribution of compute passing as distribution of power, and argued for passionate, open web communities like Neopets, Wikipedia.
Hell yeah, that's awesome. A few Austin pals are in the program too.
Hereβs a super useful guide from Texas Tribune for tracking state bills this legislative cycle. www.texastribune.org/2025/05/2β¦
Brought my 16mm direct animation loop, Petal Film, to bring your own beamer night at dadalab last Friday. Was fun to dust off the project and show off some film work again.
5 browser windows, each with an image of a CATS+ resident artist, and one browser window with logos for Welcome to my Homepage and Games Y'all.
This Sat 5/17! The spring cohort of the Collaborative Art + Technology Situation (CATS+), which is a media arts residency program I run in at MoHA in Austin, is having their showcase. Plus net art, indie games from @gamesyall.bsky.social, and popsicles. Come hang out!

I haven't used it for very long yet, but Mozilla's VPN (aka Mullvad VPN) has been giving me much less hassle than others. My partner's used it for ~1 year and has found it breaks/struggles with some site's logins or checkouts, but in the last week it's already a speed and access improvement for me.
If more people decline face scans, TSA might rethink βwhether itβs actually effective to roll out programs like these,β EFFβs Saira Hussain told @huffpost.com. Without pushback, they're "just going to keep instituting more and more invasive techniques.β
Integrating the banger article quoted below and all the cogent commentary into a new intro on the βNo genAIβ statement I attach to all my work.
I got a specific itch to scratch and am on the lookout for a:
Solo TTRPG
with a GAMEY feel to it, a little less journally (not a judgement i play journaling games literally all the time)
dark, macabre vibes - the weirder the better
preferably? designed by QTPOC designer(s)
Self promotion VERY OK!
My favorite game this year
