It's a hashtag which gets picked up by those seeking it & those who have pinned 'Just Knitting' (possibly others) so that you can keep a nice, clean, knitting stream rather than a jumble of posts you'd rather swerve!

Hubs is a luthier & never ceases to be amazed by how many musicians do not know how to change strings/have never changed strings - not just the bedroom jammer, but also the stadium players.
Stabbing at my old school. 16yr old boy stabs teenage girl. At what point will we get to stopping violence by males to females? He should be revising for his exams, not trying to get locked up - but how will it be viewed? Attempted murder, ABH, GBH? Or even less, slapped wrist, don't do it again?
Yay! No, you cannot use social media to bully people you simply don't like. Expressing dislike is fine, but "a deliberately targeted public campaign of vilification" goes waaaay past the line of all decency. Joey Barton's post were expensive.

A pair of pinky red needle cord jeans resting on an oak table. Waistband can be seen above the jeans. Cut line marked with pins.
Is this going to be worth the effort? I've never really worn these as the waist was too high, so I'm knocking an inch off. Can't do more due to construction. Gained, lost, gained weight, so I won't take them in much. #sewandtell
The price of oil has soared. Trump says it's a price worth paying, only, it's the little guy who gets to pay. People who can barely afford to live now, businesses who are struggling & may close with redundancies etc. But that's fine because Trump has an effing multi million dollar ballroom to flaunt
I'm trying to see if this is a decrease 1 each side, or 2, but I suspect its the former, so ssk then 2 tog.
Yoke of a cardigan resting on a cream striped sofa. A ball of yarn can be seen at the bottom of the image. Yarn has thick stripes of rusty brown, green and blue.
Currently #knitting with dundaga wool, I can't half feel the lanolin in it. Decided to go for a garter stitch rustic kind of cardigan. Just wondering how it will wash.
Toe-up? I find them easier to do 'mindlessly' than cuff down. I tend to do increases by knit front/back rather than other left/right leaning methods. No picking up stitches for a heel flap either. Bonus!
That's when I cast on another pair of socks.
Yes, sad times. The money currently being burned could have been put to better use by building bridges and taking down barriers.
Google has suggested wool in that region/age. Felted also. Silk coming in slightly later - so yes, poss wool, poss felt?
In my ignorance of textiles of that area & time, I might have questioned whether this is wool & if so, from sheep. I would have been thinking silk, esp by the fineness? Hard to say without being somewhat closer to it than a low res pic!
I don't know history from that area, but the structure looks woven to me.
Sadly, there is a LYS in my local city where the attitude is similar. It is a shame as they do stock both commercial and indie dyed yarn. Yet, you can walk into another (one has opened up in a temporary container park) & they couldn't be more helpful. My money will go to.... ππ§Ά
Not sure I'd recognise him if I saw him - not so good with faces. I will look out though!
Whilst the worlds biggest leaders are hell bent on blowing up the planet, I hear that the forecast for the Aus #F1 is mild. Wished everywhere else was. Not sure I'm getting up to watch it live, I think I'll go for the 1st re-run which I suspect will be about 7am? #knitting & coffee at the ready.
At least, for the time being. This post might not age well. We'll see. While orange fat bully-boy wants the planet to crash & burn, it is us ordinary folk who have to pay.
So, the fat orange one doesn't like that the UK has told him no. I hope the UK continues to say no. There is far more integrity in Starmer's shit than there is in a single cell of the fat orange draft-dodger.
Screenshot of an X post by Fred Wellman reacting to a MeidasTouch post quoting Trump about three U.S. service members killed in action and saying there will likely be more before it ends. Below is a photo of Trump speaking at a podium with the presidential seal, American flags behind him, during a formal address.
βThat's the way it isβ says the draft dodger.
I have seen various statements being delivered by the US and Israel and I can only come to the conclusion that this is a Crusade of the type seen in the 11th-13th century. Massive economic repercussions to follow. Death & destruction. Hate is a terrible thing to teach your child.
Is this the 'raw' edge or are you picking up stitches to rib? The latter will sort itself. If it's supposed to be a rolled edge (ie no other treatment) sometimes it rolls less once soaked & blocked, depending on yarn. What I'm currently wearing rolled less at the neck & cuffs, but more at the hem
Neck edge of a piece of circular knitting, unjoined. Yarn is quite coarse wool, 4ply. Yarn ball is brown, green, gold and blue in thick bands.
Freestyling again. I think this will be a boxy, short cardigan. Not sure how much yarn I'll need, but I have three of these jumbo balls, so no yarn chicken for me, this time! #knitting
Have to say, the irony of ppl causing a fuss over a man's tics at an awards ceremony when his life story was up for an award, is not at all lost on me. A Black person cannot stop being black & a person with sweary Tourettes cannot stop being a person with sweary Tourettes. One doesn't trump other.
Striped short socks on a white desk. Toes, heels and cuffs in fawn yarn. Stripes are pink, purple, blue and a bit of green in places. 4ply merino with nylon from thewoollytangle.co.uk
Finished but not yet blocked. Took up all the spare variegated yarn, so very happy. Helped by a touch of shaping at the front cuff edge. Don't have many trainer socks so I ought to knit more of these! #knitting π§Ά
Have to say, after a really successful and entertaining Winter Olympics, can't wait for the Winter Paralympics to start... and the F1. Good times ahead to shake the watery gloom outside atm.
I'm there, and Ch5 during the week....
Pair of socks being knitted toe up, on a long circular needle, lying on a white sheet. Toes are fawn and the feet are mini stripes of pink, purple and blue. Coloured yarn by TheWoollyTangle, UK (Wales)
My 'oops I accidentally cast on another pair of socks' at the beginning of this week are likely to be finished by the end of this week! Only plain, short trainer socks using leftover wool. Well more like, yarn I've been using up because it was more pinky/purple than I thought #knitting
Love it!
I need more wips #knitting. Perhaps more so, I need my eldest to crack on & provide grandkids so I have someone to knit for, and for my youngest to get a partner & do likewise. C'mon, it's about time, I can only wear so many jumpers/socks/cardis/shawls...
