Making Lunch - Gator Days Characters Liam - Capybara - A quiet and introspective child. Ember's older brother. Ember - Capybara - A LITTLE GIRL WHO LOVES SNACKS AND YELLS EVERYTHING! LIAM'S LITTLE SISTER! Transcript Panel 1 Liam and Ember are having some lunch. Liam has made a peanut butter sandwich for himself. He prefers a simple lunch with minimal texture surprises. Ember is sitting in front of jars of peanut butter and jelly with labels claiming they are "Natural" and "Fruit Flavored". She also has a loaf of bread and is wielding a knife! Don't worry, it's one those thick butter knives for kids that's designed not to pierce or slice. Although it's still probably dangerous in Ember's capable hand. Liam: Do you want me to make you some lunch? Ember: NO! I WANNA DO IT! Panel 2 Liam turns his attention to his sandwich and takes a bite. While controversial, he prefers smooth peanut butter. The texture of crunchy is incredibly unpleasant in his mouth. He holds no ill will towards anyone else who prefers crunchy. Panel 3 Liam suddenly feels something sticky on his arm. He looks and sees that some jelly has mysteriously landed on him. Now would probably be a good time to see how Ember is doing. Panel 4 Oh no. There is peanut butter and jelly everywhere. The butter knife has been stabbed into the loaf of bread. The peanut butter jar has been knocked over. The jelly jar is no where to be seen. There's a slice of jelly covered bread stuck on the wall. Everything is incredibly sticky. Liam does his best to take this in stride. Liam: What did you make? Ember: MISTAKES! If you see the jar jelly, please tell them to come home. We miss them.

Doesnβt it make you crazy? Doesnβt it turn your blood to fucking gasoline?

2) Doesnβt match the video anyway.

I like to think there's a reality out there where where #RyanCoogler's #Sinners, @sgj.bsky.social 's #BuffaloHunterHunter, and this song by #TheBuilders&TheButchers are all in conversation with each other.

From a Minnesotan: a hearty HELL NO to this. This man is a professional political consultant in DC raising $$ for a political party. There are endless better places to donate to actually help people here suffering and fighting against this nazi invasion. Hereβs a start:

We are looking more like Russia, every day.
If you bend the knee it will get worse, even. We can't.
Very Buddhist take on ethics to the end, which I appreciate. I just gave a sermon yesterday on 'Nothing' (Unitarian-Universalist - we do weird topics like that) that touched on nihilism and potential responses, so it was very cool to see this article showing more perspectives. π Thanks!

I love what @carterhaughschool.bsky.social has done on The Great Courses, so I'm excited to see their book - you should check them out and grab a copy! #BookSky #Fae #Fairies #Folklore

How low we have sunk as a country. The US Department of Defense is now run by a rabid war criminal.
Ordering the execution of helpless survivors of an attack is ALWAYS a war crime, whether they civilian or military.
Pure, mindless, barbarism.

Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.
I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.
The best we can claim to be is agnostic. We don't & can't know. Religion then becomes a method of coming to peace with that while still doing good, celebrating this messy world, & choosing love. Or as A. Powell Davies put it, grow a soul. Growing a soul in the face of uncertainty. That's religion.
I mean, it seems kind of obvious.
you could fact check this β there arenβt 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin β or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
It need Christians to defend it from "Christians". But, snark aside, it is always a trip to watch a hegemony pretend its a helpless little baby.
#BookSky, this is a great read - grab yourself a copy and get yourself good and creeped out.
I'd read 'Back Seat' earlier this year in the 'Fears' anthology, and it knocked me down hard. I almost didn't re-read in this collection, but I'm glad I did (masochist that I am). It's such a rending, monstrous and human thing. Thank you for doing what you do!
Book cover for Let Not Your Sorrow Die by Bracken Macleod, shows a winged skeleton dipping a human female dance partner amidst tomb stones.
Let Not Your Sorrow Die - @brackenmacleod.bsky.social A solid collections of stories and when they hit, they HIT. 'Back Seat', 'Pigs Don't Squeal In Tigertown' and 'A Short Madness' really stand out. Each tale does a good job balancing humanity and the monstrous. #BadHandBooks #BookSky #Horror
