The academy has always been a hothouse of invidious comparison. This website makes it worse.
This is such an old topic, but still: when rsch leads me to pubs on academia[dot]edu, I always look for an alternative route to access. It's a commercial site that sells your data and creates Analytics Panic.

UNC researchers to launch data-driven site to aid those impacted by Helene and other storms
UNC’s ViVE center — that houses all the data — was partly funded through the National Institutes of Health for over $3 million over the course of five years.
Kudos to @unclibrary's Phil McDaniel & Gracie Riehm for the map they helped create for this project. Using data collected by UNC's Center for Virtual Care, Value, and Equity, "It showed areas in western NC that had washed away bridges and impassable roads." www.wunc.org/environment/...
