Fair point.
I like the gift square of "slow zoom in on famous person" π
I like how this is sponsored by the letter L.
Aston Martin is also sponsored by Aramco, the Saudi owned oil co. So oF cOuRsE tHeY wAnT tO rAce....
Yea, it seems the announcers and journos just really can't be bothered to say "Sainz" right. It's super easy to say, and, you know, shows a basic level of respect.
F1 is shocked and appalled that you would think their blatant manipulation of rules, races, results, and in many cases just basic observational facts could in any way be described as a "soap opera." This is high drama --uh, I mean, pure sport!
Well, Adelaide saw F1 off by almost killing Mika HΓ€kkinen...
You're suggesting that's the *only* reason the US is/will yet again get away with being the global playground bully?
I heard that RB (maybe just Oliver Mintslaff) hadn't realised how disliked Horner was until he was booed at the F1-75 launch, so more than just on track performance. I'm continually disappointed at how vapid and fawning F1 media is.
Perhaps it's for the best if you don't watch any more...
"All 20 F1 drivers..."
So who's not making it?
Is this how they're telling us there's no room for Cadillac?
I love this clip so much..
Kind of wild to suggest they're "preparing" kids for future by literally excluding them from society.
Thanks for sharing!
I think "Feel the Glory" is a missed opportunity by F1 marketing.
#F1
You're right. It's a really complex sport/entertainment complex but you wouldn't know it from how it's discussed.
But he has to! And both Aston and Ferrari need to be contenders next year so we can have Lewis v Fernando round 2 after 20 fucking years!!
I'm sure a prophecy has foretold this somewhere...
The same reason I just found this on an F1 feed, because you just wrote F1. The algorithms are both stupid and clever. Same goes for people...
My 2c is play around with tags to find one that doesn't get picked up by the F1 feeds, but still allows you to share work with folks you want to.
Yea... I'm struggling to find enthusiasm for this season because the coverage is so vapid.
lol they have been judged on their song choice all along! Just as the women have been judged for not wearing a dress, or some other stupid thing that doesn't actually affect their skating quality. But it would be nice to have a clear modifier for this stuff.
But WhErE iS hEr BoNe ArMoR??? And did she accidentally on purpose seed the ice with bone fragments that one time or was that just a wild misunderstanding?
And if they fall they're expected to just get up and pretend it never happened, nevermind how damn painful it would be.
Figure skaters are metal.
Yea, it's almost as the abusive and exploitative practices of some coaches were bad for the sport, and dragged everything down with them. The skating is fun to watch now and feels joyful!
I still can't believe the waiting area is so blatantly called the "kiss and cry." Surely we reached peak voyeurism with Trusova's rage crying at Beijing? If that wasn't the best argument for giving athletes space than nothing else can convince them (the orgs running the show).
The phrase "car-like protection" seems to imply that cyclists are unprotected and vulnerable. They are, of course, but I dislike this phrase as it suggests "cars are the only solution to cycle safety." Not "drive more respectfully." Yes, I am reading a lot into this marketing guff.
My condolences ;)
The UK is doing it stupidly though. (As a kiwi I often also feel I'm from the future)
I just have trouble getting out of bed. But I like this logic; it means I should talk more shit ;)
I so agree!
"Bye" is how I end calls and it always makes me a bit uncomfortable when no one says bye on TV shows or movies or whatever.
OTOH, I've been sent review requests by academic journals I've previously submitted to, and been rejected by, purely by existing somewhere in their database.
