People have asked me specifically how i do blushes and its actually very simple. Contour highlights on the eyes if they're closed, down the bridge of the nose, and along rhe top of the cheeks. Start light and broad, go back iver it a few times to darken the 'blush' shading by just going iver it again close and closer, generally centered between the inner points if the eyes #furry #furryart

Different shadung for different parts. Flat/wavy hair sections are shaded eith strokes along the direction the hair flows, with highlights left blank in uneven parallel bands. Ringlets have their contour highlight left as an uneven gap for their entire length in order to accentuate their roundness. Fabric is shaded in planes with strokes in different directions, with planes veung darkened to create shadows or curves where different olanes meet left with gaps to create highlights. #furry #furryart

Areas under overhanging objects like the dress are shaded in a gradient from dark to light from the deepest to outermost portion.if sonething is sticking out from under an overhang, having a line across it with flat shading to delineate the part that us underneath it looks nice and is easy.

In order to avoid the graphite reflecting the poffice lights or phone shadows, I prop the post it nite pad up on its side and take a final picture straight on. I usually take it from a few feet back and then crop the picture down to avoid lens distortions and such.

'Inking' the sketchbwith darker pencil lines. Still moving things around, not bothering to erase yet.

Shading. 'Highlight' line defines the shape, each section shaded with has marks that follow the shape of the surface towards the highlitmght line.

Gaps left between shading planes to show highlights. Darker sections always along shading plane separation lines

Largely complete, going back to erase smudges and sketch lines that are still present and obscuring the image, darkening and/or thickening border lines to more clearly define shaoes. Latter step less used in backgrounds/'out of focus' foregrounds
