Dems (and Buttigieg specifically) are a leech on mass movements. They attempt to recuperate the energy of mass movements & redirect it towards electoral politics for their power. They use anti-fascist sentiment to build their own support while doing fuck all to actually fight fascism.
If Democrats earnestly believed in fighting fascism, we would have seen them actually stand by their guns during the government shutdown, actually support more leftist members of their party like Mamdani, actually defend trans rights. We, by & large, haven’t seen that. They simply want power again.
Dems are not trying to save America from fascism, they’re trying to figure out how to regain power, and often becoming more conservative in order to try to do so. Buttigieg is a clear exp in how he has thrown trans ppl under the bus while also maintaining civility assimilationist politics.
