The important thing to remember is not to go to pieces when it happens. You have to react like a man, calmly.

How dare you listen in to my conversation!
One Battle After Another (Sean Penn character poster).
Louise, I am the Vice President of the Coalition for Moral Order! My co-founder has just died in the bed of an underage black whore! Now wait till the media gets a hold of this.
Marty Supreme.
Just because you're 22 and hung, it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want!

She's a small-town girl, and he's a pretentious European. The worst kind.

Great. Then heβs driving back from Miami at 20 miles per hour with the parking brake on!

I assure you, Mother is just following a train of thought to a logical, yet absurd, conclusion.
It's that time of the year again...we all need a little smile, so it is the (5th?) annual Best Picture Nominees if their taglines were quotes from "the birdcage":
Hey, I am halfway to an EGOT by this metric (and I have an MTV Music Video Award!).
Anyone have a Grammy I can hold and claim?
The musical was actually "Gay Divorce" and the movie became "The Gay Divorcee" because that was more acceptable. So I think they need to take away the "The"
Watched this last night for the first time since I was a kid (and didn't get most of it) and was shocked at how spot-on the satire is (then, today, and forever).
Good. Because my main complaint about airplanes has always been that people smell too good and need to be sweatier.
It is genuinely wild how this has blown up in QT's face. Just a wild miscalculation for one of the most powerful directors in the business to go on an asshole's podcast and punch down so gleefully against good actors that everyone likes
Nothing sounds worse to me than "Quentin Tarantino on Bret Easton Ellis' podcast," and I'm glad that I seem to have been proven right on that matter.

I don't want to brag, but this is the exact double feature I recommended on @attcpod.bsky.social!
That's why most any homework my students have is what they didn't complete in class (usually because of time management); very little work for works sake!
As always, Matt Singer is mostly right (haven't seen the latest one, put Punch-Drunk at 2, and this is probably my list...).
Well, I believe your GIF there is proof of what should be Number One!!!
An illustration of a scene from Fargo drawn in the style of the comic strip The Far Side: Marge encountering the wood chipper situation and exclaiming, βOh Jeez.β
Iβve been rewatching the Coen Bros filmography this month and while drawing a Barton Fink illustration, it struck me how much their films feel like Far Side cartoons: funny, strange, clever, yet frequently inscrutable. Anyway hereβs a thread!
Using one photo already on your phone, what is the announcement tomorrow at 2?
