Thanks for your interest! It’s a memoir about finding my voice through selective mutism. I’m being selective about ARC readers right now without a clear background, I’m not sharing. I’m mostly look to trade writing with other writers, so we both have skin in the game.

I think it would depend on how well you market it. Amazon is so big, that it might help a bit. Still don’t love Amazon though. Also I think it’s smarter for everyone to get ISBN’s themselves rather than through them.

I think it would be great to have something like this! I’d love to join. Also I think a bunch of us are wondering how to do Beta reader stuff, are you thinking about going in that direction? Or if you have any tips on that I don’t think people are posting how.

Yesterday was the day I started volunteering at the Theater. My hands looked wicked witch spattered green after painting the stage walls. I went off to see the wizard of paint! (Coat one)

I’ve dated two autistic guys. Both diagnosed me immediately. One I accused of projecting, the other I said, “Wow, you guys really love calling me autistic.” 😂 There’s definitely a radar.

I love cause and effect thinking! Around Christmas, my thoughts were like: “What would happen if I batted the ornaments on that chandelier?” Nope, bad Julia, focus! 😂

I know self publishing isn’t everyone’s dream, but I personally love the freedom it gives me over my story. I’m even going to do an audiobook.
Querying sounds hard and I hope the right opportunity finds you soon. Publishing in general is a difficult process. Good luck!

The third book I read this month. The Things You Can Only See When You Slow Down Haemin Sunim. Just a reminder to take one quote, and step at a time.

I haven’t deleted my account, but I didn’t accept the terms. I also posted the same video on here on there. Opened and closed it enough that it bypassed that for me to be able to.

My book is my journey through school I had with selective mutism, (an extreme social anxiety that had me freezing up in public and unable to speak) and how with time it became social anxiety. It’s funny, but inspirational, it’s a look back on teachers notes and stories I remember. What about yours?

I love that! I’m also publishing a book soon and navigating the terrifying beta reader process. How far are you into yours? Would love to connect with other authors going through this.

It was a very short book, but very good, and I finished it near the begging of January. Same day I finished reading Betty White’s. #booksky #books #JohnCleese

If you believe you can write a book you can. I believe it was Lauren Graham who said take 20 minutes a day to sit down and write. Don’t beat yourself up if you have hard days. If you go over that’s fine too. Maybe someday someone will say that about yours.
