It took a bit longer than anticipated, but chapter 3 is now complete! We have fully reworked how the frame graph works to make it easier to use and (hopefully) understand. Gone is the definition in json and is now fully driven by code!

We can finally announce that @gabrielsassone.bsky.social and I are working on the second edition of the Vulkan rendering book. More details to come soon!
Had SO much fun and learned a ton from @hlywa.bsky.social about how games get funded and what publishers look for.
Hope you check this episode out!
The most comprehensive video I've watched about this topic.
It goes over what independent music distribution is like, Spotify's music takedowns, how much money goes into making an album (in detail), and how much artists make from streaming revenue (also in detail).

Looking forward to the recording :)
The Manager`s Path from Camille Fournier is on my to read list, it was recommended on social media a few times. For more "traditional" takes you could also look into High Output Management (Andy Grove) and Management Essentials (Peter F. Drucker)
Woke up to the news that I've been laid of from my day job π Sharing this β€΅οΈ cause it was my main source of income and I need all the gigs I can get π If you don't have a project, talking to your colleagues is also appreciated. Word of mouth from peers does way more than hearing from a stranger.

I just found out that _the_ Katee Sackhoff has her own show. That's it, enjoy: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv7b...
Amazing viz, is that something custom or an existing solution?
Enough people asked for it, so it's happening! π€

Is it ok to attend even if not attending the main conference?
What up lovely people? Had a bit of break from social media to recharge and refocus. Stay tuned for more music and soon some streams in Italian on game programming with @gabrielsassone.bsky.social ! You can start by subscribing to our brand new channel here www.youtube.com/@caffeconipr...
Thanks. At least they tag music that has been generated by AI. I am not a lawyer, but this is the wording they have, for now.
I checked their terms and conditions when I signed up yesterday, and I couldn't find any mention of artificial intelligence or machine learning in their language. Do they mention it somewhere else?
Yup, they do such a great job I went back to CDs :D
Done it a while ago and whenever I need a song I never get it from Spotify. The way they treat artists is appalling, not to mention that they'd rather push fake artists than paying the real ones: www.honest-broker.com/p/the-ugly-t...
With great trepidation, I present thee my first track that I am confident enough to share. I will add more songs over time as I polish older tracks that I think make the cut and make new ones. mcproductionsuk.bandcamp.com/track/space-...
Feedback welcome :)
I had the BEST time chatting with @paullicino.bsky.social for @questmarkers.bsky.social earlier this week; he shared his experiences so generously and it was lovely to reflect on what goes into creative work.
Check out our episode below! β

Indeed, it's a much better auto-complete and makes writing "obvious" code a lot easier.
HarmonyCloak is to music what Glaze and Nightshade are to images.
It doesn't look like it's out yet, but if you haven't heard of it and want to follow along, here's a little link π€

You need someone to master the tracks for Vinyl first, then you need someone to press them, i.e.: www.discmanufacturingservices.com/vinyl/pressing
As a reviewer, I got a few codes for a free copy of "Vulkan 3D Graphics Rendering Cookbook". PM me if you'd like one, first come, first served :)

I think if it were just for money, very few people would actually make art. Sadly there are many better options out there. I think most "successful" people (and not just in the arts) are driven by curiosity and becoming better at your craft is its own reward.
People are still finding optimizations on 30 years old software. Imagine how much is left on the table for programs we use every day: fabiensanglard.net/fastdoom/
