Why music videos, but not music apps or music games?

I often see a kind of bitterness from old people online, a sense that everything gets worse, usually expressed in uglier language.
I never hear that kind of thing from my parents. Is there something about being a parent that immunizes you against this attitude?

People have a sense that there is something important they don't understand, if they see some kind of writing they don't understand they feel like that must be what it's about.

I'm tempted to replace "the web" with "the text" in every complaint about the web I see.

Imagining people talking about “the text” in the way some people talk about “the web”, refering to the newspapers, magazines and books that they choose to read.

An old joke: A communist is someone who loves humanity, but hates every particular human.

A new joke: Someone who loves the web, but hates every particular website.
