I still love a good thunderstorm, but they were a lot more fun before I owned a house with windows and a roof

It’s 67 in Iowa. It should be 38. It’s a beautiful day but also terrifying

FYI: Putting any sort of AI-generated imagery in your project writeup is a great way to lessen your chances of being covered on Hackaday.

That paw looks powerful!

It can’t risk hitting you, it would immediately crumble to pieces

I can’t help but notice that the moment 3d printers become useful in a resistance way there’s legislation popping up all over to try to regulate them. Or maybe it’s just super important to prevent the .006% or so of annual gun deaths that 3d printed guns might be responsible for?

Similar is the obsession with regulating 3d printers because once or twice a year someone makes a gun and uses it!

In the fridge use activated charcoal instead. Get a jar of it where they sell fish supplies. Take the lid off, leave the seal in place and punch a few holes in it. It’s way more effective than baking soda!

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

“Test it before you trust it.”

“You’re not going to mix those different kinds of drain cleaner, right?”

Good thing we don’t have any big issues like cancer rates or water quality to worry about so they have nothing better to do

I meant for them, not you! Like that seems like a really easy step for a restaurant to handle

It seems like having the pesto in a squeeze bottle would be faster than scooping it on???

And they put road cones and buckets over the canisters. A lot of businesses use things that come in buckets, the empties could be useful

That is not a good reason, it is actually wildly embarrassing to admit at all

I’ve been using TikTok to keep up on national events, but today I have the “oops, all commercials!” version, who could possibly guess why... I spent half an hour blocking accounts, I hope it helps. I know there are valid issues with it, but it had been a useful info source for me (until today)

I usually make up my own patterns, but this one had been on my mind to try and you are really talking me in to doing it. This looks so good

That’s what I was coming here to say, and anecdotally it has worked for friends I’ve recommended it to

1-x
I'm going to take a moment to circle back to the C Kirk imbroglio. I felt it was a line that needed to be drawn and vigorously defended. Vocally and forcefully.

But at a cost. I paid the toll because I have said and believe if my privilege is a bank account, I want it overdrawn when I go.

It’s a censorship law. So they can ban/block any content for the reason “it’s not safe for kids”, or require you to specifically tie your real identity to what you do online - no more chance of anonymity. Like so many laws, the title hides the real intent

I just distributed literally 50 gallons of water over my personal plant collection in preparation for tomorrow when I take delivery on 1000 new business plants. I’m relaxing with some strawberry matcha and my mom’s homemade peanut butter cookies because I won’t have time to relax tomorrow

USPS, fedex, Amazon, and all the other shipping companies need an “it’s not that serious” button I can push when I have a package on the way and the weather gets bad. I bought extra of a supplement I take because it was on sale! It can wait until next week when the roads are clear!!!

Grocery stores will often defrost some turkeys to sell last minute before thanksgiving, then sell leftover defrosted turkeys incredibly cheap in the days after thanksgiving. If you’re in a position to roast, slice, and freeze one it can be a great source of inexpensive protein!

Was it written by AI? “Prolific” is a common music journalism word that could easily have been churned out incorrectly!

We have to stop letting normal people set fines. That amount of money means nothing to them, it would need to be like 100x as much for them to really notice

What about chipped teeth? Or that the bacteria you happen to have is a more significant predictor of cavities than diet? Weird thing to be puritanical about

Vitamin D has been the most helpful supplement for me by far, highly recommended trying it for anyone with long covid (esp because it’s cheap and easily accessible)
