Excellent news, but I am now suspicious of dipshit's sudden need for rotator cuff surgery or whatever it was.
Was that a big hook pulling someone off stage just in time for midterms, I wonder?

b/c it's a predictive model w/our books as DB. Weather app is the same: looks at a DB of all weather data, assembles median, outputs prediction. slopAI looks at our books, assembles median to meet "prompt," outputs its prediction of queried book. No creation, just a prettied-up Xerox machine.

New novel pre-release π£! "Logos of Cain," book 5 in "The Cain Series," comes out this May, 2026.
That's right, Cain and Francesca are back, to pull down scores and stomp billionaires in this next cyberpunk classic.

Also, putin doesn't pay his bills and likely owes a big one to Iran for all the material support they gave him in his illegal war against the valiant people of Ukraine. By ordering Krasnov to attack and decapitate the regime, he's removed a bill collector while distracting from his military failure
Right on!
Always shitting on cyberpunk. You don't see them calling out other subgenres: where's their outrage against space opera culture? Or Urban Fantasy? I mean, if they were frightened by Cthuhlu Mythos, at least it'd make sense.
Ecuador now, huh? This is Woodrow Wilson level stupid shit, with senseless military action across Central America, war-for-business coupled with open racism. Combined with ruinous economic policy, we have the second Wilson-Harding-Coolidge adminβwith the AI bubble out there, bringing in the 2nd GD.
"It is the quintessence of human stupidity, is it not? The unwillingness to let go of the past coupled with the inability to learn from it."
Our arch enemy strikes again.
Question: what is the opposite of Cassandra?
Answer: AI, it spews nothing but falsehoods and, yet, is believed anyway.

There's really no right answer to this age-old question: it comes down to the individual. I plan for months before each novel, but I know plenty of authors who don't and would be harmed by it if they tried: it would kill the excitement, engagement, from creating on the fly. It's best to just do you.
Great story, despite the end; reads like a Chester Himes' novel. Europe goes to Europe, to bring the second enlightenment on the spiraling notes of jazzβbut when the war ended, so did Europe, what he loved interrupted by harsh words and a folding knife. The best truly are taken too early.
Congrats!
As our fascist reality slips closer and closer to the future foretold in classic #cyberpunk literature, I thought it would be good to reassert what cyberpunk actually is: it isn't about aesthetics, it's about exploitation.

Hawaii is amazing for food. Couldn't afford Sashimi back when I was at Schofield, but even Zippy's was good. More than the Hawaiian Denny's, they'd buy up fresh, never-frozen, fish every day: $5 got you 8oz of fish, 2 sides, and a drink. I wasn't a foody when I arrivedβbut I sure was when I left.
It's interesting how similar these scams are to the papermills and predatory journals found in scientific publishing. They read like the papermills' fake reviews. Fake journals do the same thing with claiming ed-board members who've never heard of them; then fake peer review; then charge authors.
Oh yeah, always better to find it in revisions (or earlier) than for it pop up in a review (ouch).
The hard sci-fi blues. At least you found it and can retcon, which takes skill and finesse, too, so not a bad thing when done well. It's like when the hero in a kung fu movie gets kicked in the face, but then rolls it into a somersault and comes up swinging. Yeah he took a kick, but it was cool!
The whole album is really good, too; basically all hit songs, one after another.
In these divisive times, I think we can all come together and agree that this #blueoystercult song proves that the band are, in fact, time travelers and were sent back to warn us of the age in which we now live. If only we had listened to #BOC.

I'm thrilled to announce that James T. Egan of Bookfly Design is the new cover artist for The Cain Series.
Just like the text inside, the cover is 100% human artistry: no AI.
I look forward to all the great covers to come.

Oh, I see. I thought that was Arlington for a minute and couldn't believe they'd allow it to grass up like that.
Great thread, as always, Eddie.
I'm glad Lt. Fox got his CMH, at last, he more than deserved it. Now the army needs to get a few privates over to that gravestone with a scrub brush. Where the hell is that detail at?
Ha! I love it when they can't be bothered to take out the parentheses or brackets from their template. I got an [author name] and [book title] last week. I know they think we're stupid, but sending a link? Who clicks on links from strangers?
