The petition to open the route from Bath to Midford as a shared use path. Hundreds of signatures over a single weekend was key to the success of the campaign as this demonstrated solid public support.

This week saw the 60th anniversary of the last train services on the railway.

Here's two photos from the 40th, in 2006, a steam loco brought to Green Park - an event that also hosted the launch of our public campaign for a shared-use path.

The route opened 7 years later, on the 6th April 2013.

If you're wondering if the artwork, called 'Passage', in Combe Down Tunnel, will be powered up again, Sustrans will be organising this in association with other electrical work to the lighting there - the intention is to have it going again 'By the end of this year'.
