I've been playing a lot and I'm nowhere near finished. I suppose maybe people are just leaving areas as soon as they meet the minimum requirements to do so? But that seems like a shame to me; why rush a game like this?...

Yeah. I try to tolerate Arena cos it's the most accessible way to play Draft which is my favorite format, but now that we've moved on from Lorwyn, I'm thinking I should probably just uninstall lol
I totally relate
After returning for FF and sticking around for Lorwyn, I feel like I've had more frustration than fun, not to mention toxic people waiting out their timers to troll
I think I'm going back to just occasionally playing commander with friends cos mtg requires a social contract
Lowkey I'd say aim for like 55ish. Lesser colibri starts then, and you might be able to round up friends to do 50/60 cap assaults until you hit 75
That said if ToAU takes much longer maybe you can just get 75 anyway ๐
Black Mage is so much easier to level on HorizonXI than other servers thanks to these camps; I hadn't planned to take mine to 75 but I did anyway just cos the exp was so good
Thinking very much about how good the end of the 1st episode of .hack sign is.
Following this mystery of who this person is and why they're so distantly hostile to others, the clear grief and fear they're processing, this bug of reality constantly coming at them and them adamantly rejecting it.

Literally just finished rewatching .hack//SIGN to show it to a friend who's been visiting. Delighted by the news, the trailer looks sick

Think I still need better options for skintones etc #ffxi #ff11 #finalfantasy

the answer to your oomf's question is san d'oria because it offers the best ring; def:2 str+1 (and mnd+1) on a lv1 ring is hard to beat
the alternative answer is windurst cos vibes
Yeah, it's sad. THF runs into this problem too. People don't want to put in the extra effort to line up for Sneak/Trick Attack, or pay attention to open and not interrupt skillchains.
It's a shame, cos I think that kind of interaction is one of FF11's main selling points. They're fun and rewarding!
If you've never seen a baby behemoth from FFXI, now you have
Personally I was thrilled. A Final Fantasy game that I can play with my friends? Awesome! That said, I was already acquainted with online games from battlenet games, Realms of Kaos, and notably the Ragnarok Online beta, so I was already on board with the idea of an MMO in general.
I'm so ready to bogle all my opponents again (in draft at least)

I have no idea about modern ff11 items but I see that Cat's Eye is still available!
None of the relic weapons ever appealed to me as RDM didn't care and they weren't available to PUP or COR, but mythics...! I did all the reqs so fast, but I was bad at economic stuff, so I never finished alexandrite
To facilitate this in a way that isn't just frustrating the way the .hack games ended up being, I think there'd need to be a massive roster of characters that you can invite to your party at any given time
Lowkey now imagining a party assembly system for a single player FF11, like you meet someone and get their contact info, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll join you for any quest any time. I think it'd help the game feel alive if other characters are sometimes unavailable or just uninterested
I went with Windurst/Mithra because I'd enjoyed thief/rogue style roles in previous co-op RPGs. I woulda picked a boy were I able, but I'm glad I couldn't cos my cat girl helped me sort out gender issues lol
I almost quit cos the thief start was awful, but I was convinced to change jobs. Imagine...
Murgleis is so pretty though... I'd want it just for that lol
I feel like it has to be Lion. She is the adventurer. I can imagine a .hack style party system where you get contact info from other adventurers you meet along the way and call them to join you for quests... then when Lion is uhhh incapacitated, you make a team of your best friends to save her.
1. Whispers of the Gods (Aydeewa Subterrane)
2. Awakening
3. Autumn Footfalls (Ronfaure [Shadowreign era])
this checks out, but it's also strong evidence of just how little I post here (or well, on social media in general) lol
I'm just too wordy for these kinds of apps...
Chandelure standing (floating?) guard to keep anyone from bothering me and my cute animal friends
โAI is clearly sticking around so you have to get used to itโ wrong. I donโt have to get used to shit. I am a practiced hater and I can keep this going for decades if I am required to
The latest bans really seem to have made Standard much healthier. So many decks seem viable now!
