And you made a good point about the UV space too! Typically I lay out the sculpted hair UVs straight and squared for texturing, but they're tightly packed. With the UV planes, that's gonna be even more tricky.

For the sculpted hair, I'm optimizing by deleting the unseen faces.

I added the planes first before planning the textures, so I jumped the gun.

I'm using a custom curve IMM brush that uses a UVed plane, but learned via testing that I'll have to reUV it because the brush.

Anyone have any tips or tricks with hair cards? I'm trying them out for the first time and feeling a little lost. I normally do sculpted hair and I'm kinda doing a mix of both with Samus here.

Heyo, here's the current WIP of Samus. I started laying down hair cards for the main part of the hair. Started making my own hair card IMM curve brush and it's been... an experience, lol. It's not UVing the way I wanted, but I'll figure it out.

Forgot to post an update, but I just got the Robots artbook and I'm getting the Prince of Egypt artbook this week.

I'm shocked I found it because it's signed by 10 different supervising animators from the film! 😳 Gotta step away from artbooks for now because PoE was a LOT.
