Did a little something to test my new VFX shader. Dare I say I am quite pleased!
UGH Hopefully I can get bottom surgery early and finally get to not be so stressed about saving up anymore.
JK still have to save but at least I'd get some breathing room.
Documentation Purpose:
Calculating camera angle so that the vertical 'light piller' kind of VFX will fades out when viewed from the top or bottom.
I swear it's for referencessss. the vfxs are pretty niceeee.

I talk quite openly about how bad it was for me with this industry simply cos saying nothing will not help. Openly showing others support matters always cos many donβt get it ever and I never got much my first decade. This is why I donβt shut up about getting others to give it while they can.

Traditionally you'd paint something every day with a hue assigned to that day, but due to commitments (job basically) and nature of VFX I've decided to do 10 sets of hues as VFX. They're all randomly selected

Second one is music jumpscare in reel. Please. Don't.
My pet peeve is that when one want to study a VFX from a reference but focus too much on the character/camera animation and not the VFX itself.
Just use plain sphere as a stand in! I want to see clear VFX and see if the fundamentals are there, not an animated short!

Its been fun sharing some of the #GameDev #VFX work that I have worked on recently, so here is a selection from Starship Home which I did earlier this year.
All made using Unity, Amplify #shader editor & Quixel mixer.

Kinda want to toot my own horn a bit but I'm SO happy the 'are you really good enough' part of my particular kind of Imposter Syndrome has been in regression to the point I don't have the thought anymore.
It's nice to keep myself busy with what I CAN and not what I cannot.

I think both are equally important, though I personally think thereβre more room to explore regarding poisonous color.
