This week, I composed a new track for the sky stage.
The idea came from a simple chain of “sky → bright → Latin.”
If I can finish two more songs, every stage will have its own track—so let’s keep going!

I'm writing dialogue for the characters.
I’ve never written a script or dialogue before, so progress has been pretty slow,
but I'm hoping to push through and get it done somehow!💪

I'm continuing the final adjustments, even though there aren't many visual changes.
I also composed a new track and turned it into a video.
It has a somewhat intense feel, so it might work as the final stage BGM?

Still working on the final adjustments.
I also tweaked the effects on the mode‑select screen.
Maybe it could be a bit flashier.

I'm creating the final stage. Also, since the music I had been using for the underground stage wasn't very good, I made a new track and replaced it. It's definitely better than before!

I'm working on the final stage now, so there isn’t much I can show.
This video is about a feature I added that can hide the HP/POW bars when they’re not needed.

#Godot 4.6 is out, and all about your flow!
This release puts you and your workflow first with a new theme, flexible docks, and dozens of UX improvements. And Jolt Physics by default, revamped IK, better reflections, and more.
Less wrestling with UI. More making games.

This week, I created a time‑delay switch that works in conjunction with a shutter.
It will be used as a puzzle‑like mechanism when combined with other parts.
With this, the creation of the mechanisms is almost complete!

Thanks!
There was feedback for a previous version saying that it was hard to tell whether something could be grabbed with the hook or not.
So I’ve added a lock-on cursor. (Thanks for the feedback!)
And some UI improvements, showing the forcedscroll direction, etc.

Let's keep working hard on game development this year! This week, I created the flow from clearing a stage to selecting the next stage and starting it!
#GameDev #IndieGameDev #GodotEngine #solodev
This is gonna be my last post of the year about game dev, maybe🤗
Last week, I was working on enemy objects for the minecart stage and adding the feature to switch ride between minecarts.
Still feels it needs more polish to look good🤔

I've started working on the middle part of Stage 3. When it comes to underground stages, mine carts are a must, right? Let's keep refining it and add some extra details. #GameDev #IndieGameDev #GodotEngine #solodev
I bought SFC’s Soft Synth during the Black Friday sale! And remade Stage 1 with SFC vibes. The SFC sound is very bright and colorful, but it feels like it requires a lot of skill to master. I think I can make it even better. #GameDev #IndieGameDev #solodev
I've wrapped up the first half of Stage3 this week! Since it's pretty maze-like down there and visibility isn't great,I put signboards along the less distinctive paths to players find the way. Next, I'll start working on the middle section! #GameDev #IndieGameDev #GodotEngine #solodev
Yeah, by switching the gravity direction on the fly, it seems to be working pretty well… I guess😅. But honestly, I probably need a lot more playtesting.
Working on creating underground enemies.Cause visibility around them is poor, they're not set to be very strong. It was quite challenging to make them adhere to the ground instead of being affected by gravity and also allow throwed by hook rope.

I'm still working on some underground mechanics. I want to design a puzzle-style challenge, but it's proving pretty tough for me!
#GameDev #IndieGameDev #GodotEngine #solodev
I was down with a cold last week, so progress on game development hasn't been great. I've been spinning a strange machine located underground.😵
#GameDev #IndieGameDev #GodotEngine #solodev
The background design for Stage 3 is almost complete. The lighting range (size) still needs some consideration.🤔 Next, I'll start creating and placing gimmicks and enemies.

Thank you!☺️
I've finished creating Stage 2, so I'm about to start working on Stage 3. This time, it’s going to be an underground level—a complete contrast to Stage 2. I’m aiming to wrap this stage up before the year’s over!

Working on the Stage 2 boss again this week, so no major progress to share.
I recently arranged the stage select theme I made earlier using a MegaDrive (YM2612) + effectors setup.
With effectors applied, it might not sound very authentic…
Compare with previous NES version repost.

Sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much. I'm really happy!
Like the exploration scenes in film scores🎬, right before the action kicks in?
The vibe of the sound itself is an '80s digital synthesizer.
I've been working on the rest of Stage 2 this week. It's almost done, so next week I'll start making the boss. I started around mid-August, so I guess each stage takes me about two months.🔨

Thanks. We’ll be seeing it a lot, so I want it to look as good as possible😊
After about 1.5 years in development, my game "May and the Amazing Bouquet" can now be wishlisted on Steam!
This is my first real game, and I'm so excited it's gotten to this point! 🥲
Thank you to everyone who's followed and supported so far!
I've been working on the second half of Stage 2 this week. It's still a WIP, but this part's tricky — lots of spots where you can fall if you're not careful. Trying to keep it fun while still challenging is always tough!🤔

Ah, I get it! If I’d rung the bell🔔, I might not be here now!🚌
