This isn’t a callout post or anything but this just highlights how I’ve been screwed over especially financially by people who don’t know how to act. I’m stuck with merch I may not be able to sell outside of the con. There’s just a huge problem in the community that’s impossible to ignore.
Also I want to say that in addition to other things, people sexually harassing me & being creeps is a big reason I’m not attending TouhouFest. It’s happened with both attendees & staff. I’m grateful to the people who genuinely work to make it a good con but the other people need to do better.
Thanks, it just never stops. I feel like just being present and existing in spaces invites harassment. I’m not even active but I’m still experiencing more harassment than I have in the past. Unfortunately I’m not convinced I can get these people to change or stop.
I’ll probably just be active on Discord but I’ve even had issues there. It’s all very upsetting.
If you see me at events, feel free to say hi. I’ll miss everyone and the community I found through my interests. I wish you all the best!
Once again I appreciate everyone’s support, thank you for everything. If I decide to return, I’ll come back to my already made accounts. I think it’s unlikely but please keep that in mind if new accounts pop up.
I know too many cosplayers who have endured harassment so I know things will not improve. If another account pops up after this, it’s fake. Please report anyone impersonating me or sharing fake content involving me in the future. Even if I’m not around, I don’t deserve to be impersonated.
Thank you to the people who have supported me & enjoyed my work for years. I was touched by the support & happy with the opportunities I’ve received as I’ve shared content with you all. I had a good time & truly had some very memorable moments with friends while participating in this hobby.
Hi, everyone. I wanted to make a post saying that I probably will no longer be on my social media going forward. The sexual harassment I’ve received is out of control. People have been making me feel uncomfortable online and at public events for awhile but I’m overwhelmed at this point.
