Today is the last day for Jerry Emig (@BuckeyeNotes) as Ohio State's football SID as he heads into a well-deserved retirement. Very few could do such a challenging job with as much grace, good humor and professionalism as Jerry. He'll be deeply missed on the beat and at OSU.
So cool.

This is the last week players can enter the transfer portal, but it's already clear how different OSU's roster will be in 2026. I had some thoughts on what it means and how my book on the 2024 championship team feels like it's from a different era. bit.ly/4sEjP1h
College football is full of chaos right now in the midst of the transfer portal window. I talked to an insider about what programs are trying to navigate. "Insanity" is a word I heard more than once. I'm making this link on my Substack accessible to non-paying subscribers.
