@the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social, this is the most unsuitable and sensitive site for development, would you really have been gifted this reserve from the Cadbury family if they could have seen this?

It's also in the highest flood risk zone. WT got permission to develop it in 2009 on the basis of no extra traffic and solely conservation use! This is backdoor development, dishonest from the WT and not why they were gifted the land. How many more WT properties are being offered up to developers?
What's up with the Wildlife Trust? They were gifted this woodland reserve for NATURE CONSERVATION, Now they market a building in the heart of it to developers as having 'amazing potential' It has an active bat roost.. /1 tinyurl.com/yc2usyat , @batconservation.bsky.social, @georgemonbiot.bsky.social
Closing down the safe and authorised routes now? Helping no-one but Farage as they legitimise Reform lies. What a sorry shower.
Coming up to peak moss (and Navelwort!) time here in Devon and Cornwalls wooded combes on the Celtic sea coast.
#moss #rainforest
Which confirms the original point in the conversation (to which the caveat was added). Thank you for the great work you do.
People could choose not to use it. This wouldn't t be a bad thing. I'd abandon it in that situation. I only use Bluesky now but have seen too many adults confused and radicalized by SM to know kids should be nowhere near it. I'm astonished at the lack of duty of care shown by allowing kids access.
It has long been common for tenants to be told (illegally) that they may not claim any benefits or vote due to landlords gaming the system. This has gone on for decades, another symptom of a society that allows greedy grifters free rein to abuse renters without consequence.
My guess; landlord pays council tax + claims they live there alone, getting 25% single person discount. They don't live there, but claim to officially, thereby escaping some income taxes on rent + tenant would be classed as a lodger with much reduced tenant rights and less protection from eviction.
To caveat, I hope and believe the Greens will be the tactical choice in many constituencies.
I totally agree with the sentiment, but lets not get ahead of things.. the very most important thing to do at the next GE is to stop Reform (plus their Tory enablers) whoever you have to vote for, the solidified tactical vote is the only way past FPTP.
Makes you wonder about the depths of nastiness it will reach if the Greens triumph at upcoming local council elections....
Labour sinking to the same hatchet-tactics as the extreme right against leftwing parties is really the lightbulb moment for anyone thinking of sticking with LINO.
Mark Thomas is due to play there tomorrow - if I were him I wouldn't.
The Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay is one, but looking at their recent event history - Jim Davidson, ''Adult only' panto, Roy Chubby Brown - I don't think an email will help. Decent productions and artists might be wise to avoid the venue in future though if they support out and proud fascism.
It is surprising that a judge could come to any firm conclusion without seeing the original comms and proofs between printery and client. Were these presented in defence?
Those Brexit benefits keep rolling in.
I'll dig through my disorganised files and get back to you, but I've def seen some examples.
There's also a few references to vast molinia abundance on Dartmoor in various books and texts dating back at least 80-100 years or more. Usually adding that it's controlled by burning, which we now know to be a bit of a vicious circle in terms of why there is so much molinia in the first place!
Thought harvesting.
They just followed me, who are they/it?
Rear Window and The Lady Vanishes are on a perfection par I think.
We often think of trees when we think of forest carbon, but look down. ๐
Half of the roughly 771 billion tonnes stored in forests is held in the soil. Disturbing the forest floor means releasing this ancient carbon. Saving forests means saving their roots, their fungi, and their dirt.
The Board of Disaster Capitalists.
Please then push for your governing party to instill legislation that ensures abortion rights can never be rolled back. It's do-able and pointedly urgent.
I'm hoping these goons split the Reform vote. But yes, the war dead would be thoroughly ashamed and angered by these people.
The only good culinary use for leftover egg whites is chocolate mousse.
They 'knew what they voted for', apparently. Yet they can't seem to say what that is in clear terms, after >10 years. Even when they manage to define it, it's different between each of them with only common thread being vague mutterings about 'sovrintee'.
This is about UK land use. None of those things are grown to any major capacity in the UK. Grapes and hops are grown here but use less than 1% of agricultural land.
Fully support windfarms, but digging up peat + building infrastructure on moors where many birds overwinter is the wrong approach. I would rather we used cow/sheep/silage fields because beef + lamb are not staples, nor form a huge part of the national diet, yet take up the lions share of land space.
Apparently Shabana Mahmood is impressed by her so woke my arse.
