I’m gonna be real controversial and say that if you get to make decisions about placing our military personnel in mortal danger, part of the job description is sitting there, quietly, and respectfully listening to exactly what military veterans have to say about it.

Now, with this info in mind, the tax incentives that have been offered to data centers in Michigan seems like the exact wrong approach.

Every expert in this panel acknowledges that load growth associated with data centers is uncertain, which brings with it a lot of RISK. But, the key argument is that the costs of that risk should not be socialized. The proper customer needs to pay for the risk, and that customer is the data centers.

This was such a great conversation. It’s very wonky but in a good way! I’m not a wonk but I followed most of it and learned A LOT.

This is excellent. This is what film and storytelling, and our consideration of it are for in times like this.
