118 years ago today: William Hope Hodgson signs-off his introduction to The House on the Borderland. The novel would be published five months later by Chapman & Hall.

Hodgson's widow continued submitting his work for publication for years after his death (both unpublished & previously published items). The photos in this piece were taken while he was at sea, and had been previously published as far back as 1907.
