Our public services arenβt for a secretive profit-hungry US tech firm. Sign the petition to tell the Government to scrap all contracts with secretive US tech firm Palantir. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/st...
A reminder: Matt Goodwin lost heavily in spite of an almost total lack of tactical voting, not because of it.
The combined Green/Labour vote was 66%, versus 28.7% for Reform.
If Labour and the Greens split the vote 50/50 β a total coordination fail β he'd have finished third, not second.
Hi Kaciπ

Morning π¦ π¦π
Six years ago, his principles were entirely different.
Nobel Peace Prize, my ass.
Mark Warner: "I saw no intelligence that Iran was on the verge of launching any kind of preemptive strike against the United States. None."
"They died to save her face"
From the Private Eye archive.
Issue 550, January 1983, some months after the Falklands war.
I prefer non-lethal distractions from the tRUMPSTEIN Files like renaming the Gulf of Mexico, making Canada the 51st state & buying Greenland. Sure it was hugely offensive to longtime friends & allies, but at least no one died.
Thou shalt not kill schoolchildren to distract from your crimes against children.
The Epstein files grant us a rare glimpse into the kind of machinations that must be happening all the time. As @bylinetimes.bsky.social reveals, Trump's fixer, Steve Bannon, helped Boris Johnson overthrow Theresa May. Blatant foreign interference in our politics. π§΅

The Italian bishops are right: these deaths are the result of political choices
βaccording to the email, these projects are being canceled because βthere is no strong nexus between the humanitarian response and U.S. national interests.ββ

Morning Kaciπ
"The report, reviewed by the FT, decided against using Palantir technology for Swiss military data since there was a risk that US authorities could gain access to the sensitive files."
Yet here Labour continues to shove public money down its throat.
A very sad part of Brexit is the simple fact that while we were in the EU, Β£6bn/yr investment was delivered in the form of regional development + structural + agricultural funding to parts of the UK that most needed it regardless of who was in charge at Westminster.
Those funds were not replaced.
"In Chicago, of 92 people arrested for assaulting or impeding officers last fall, 74 cases have resulted in no charges; in 13 cases, charges were filed and dismissed; and five charged cases were still pending. . . there have been no convictions.

25 years of migrant-bashing hasnβt put a single extra nurse on your loved oneβs ward; hasnβt added a single doctor to the NHS; hasnβt built a single council house or affordable home; hasnβt reversed falling wages; hasnβt made your weekly shop cheaper; hasnβt reduced the cost of your mortgageβ¦
Sounds delightfulπ
So glad if the colic is easing a bit .
A friendβs little one had it badly and it was stressful for all concerned. He grew out of it, hope it will be the same in her case.
Iβm ok, trying to negotiate a trip south. Timing is trickyπ¬
Rise of the Nazis
Reform UK to create ICE-style agency to deport 288,000 people a year, will terminate the status of those with indefinite leave to remain.
It would leave the ECHR.
How many would be shot, as by ICE?
How many families will be destroyed?
How many concentration camps?
Whereas Farage and his chums cost the UK about Β£90 billion in lost revenues due to their Brexit.
Morning Valerieππ₯°
How are you?
Hope the little one is doing wellπ€
These people are poison. They will unleash racist thugs on the streets of this country and call it security. They will subjugate us to the US and call it patriotism. They must be stopped. There is no more important task in politics.
But it's not "a cheap stunt."
Farage won't have flown economy, or alone and if there was "an aid boat" that will have cost money too.
It's expensive flying to the Maldives.
Where did he stay?
How long is he staying?
How much did it cost?
Who picked up the tab?
