Can highly recommend @consolemad.co.uk for this - bought C64 games from here and always as described, posted securely and reliable - always. Here is the NTSC N64 stock:

Geweldig. Echt geweldig. Fantastisch. Mooi.
That's why I think Sam Ryder's entry from a few years ago worked - it wasn't really a UK only pop song, and he also properly embraced Eurovision and was super nice to everyone - as you should be. That definitely gained respect and votes and his second place (first after judges votes) was deserved.
Second joystick in port 1 on the floor (especially those with big fire buttons) - fire pressed with the foot. That was my go to!
Co-op mode with Wiz and Cat is just superb!
Most decent C64 music editors will when compiled produce something easily under 4kb. A lot of mine are under that:
2.7kb for this version of an (infamous) game tune -
deepsid.chordian.net?file=/MUSICI...
3.5kb for a tune I did for a game in 1994 -
deepsid.chordian.net?file=/MUSICI...
My main rival in work FPL has Micky van de Ven. -2 incoming from him so I increase my gap in the lead.
Just think: Tottenham could be playing Lincoln City and possibly Stockport County next season...
If they do go down, next season the question will be - can they do it on a cold Tuesday night at Sincil Bank?
I hope Kikstart I and II feature in there somewhere - the latter in two player mode is such good fun!
And most of the time this is a C64 PRG file that loads off disk into the memory and then is ready to go.
If you want a player that calls multiple tunes and/or effects, the init routine may be
LDA #$ 00 (01, 02, 03 etc for different)
JSR $1000
(for the init code)
Most of the time, depending on the editor, the tune is compiled and saved in memory. This then loads in the C64's memory (for example at $1000) and will have a subroutine to initialise the player code (JSR $1000) and a routine to call per interrupt (JSR $1003) - as a quick example.
I think also the Alphaville one was used in films and TV adverts (a lot) - musically I prefer Big in Japan of theirs.
Was this a cheap Poundland * shot at the "chaos with Ed Milliband" line?
(* Other pound shops are available)
I take a look at Starlifter, a shoot-em-up programmed by Steve Lee of Falcon Patrol fame, on the Commodore 64. Is it up to standard or is it less star, more bah? Find out:

A few of my favourite gigs
Pixies - Manchester G-Mex
Kraftwerk - Manchester Velodrome
Pop Will Eat Itself - Birmingham Academy
Skunk Anansie - Manchester Academy 2
Dream Theater - O2, London
Gary Numan with Skaparis Orchestra - Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
Roy Harper - Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
As is the Barry Leitch remix he did for Encore 64 Volume 2. Impressive to do the whole track and give it an Oriental film soundtrack theme.

Not the best soundtrack though. Surely that has to go to the epic Wally Beben score on the C64 version?
I know that being a Northerner. It is a reference to a line Jim sings in his song about all 92 football league clubs from the top four divisions. This:

Had an enjoyable night at Aces and Eights in Tufnell Park. Quality pizza and beer with lovely staff, and a great fun work in progress comedy show from @jimdalycomedy.bsky.social too - lots of Crystal Palace references as you would expect.

Also well worth noting Shaun Southern, Udo Gertz and others managed to make really good games in 16K.
Tutti Frutti, Tom Thumb, Winter Events, Bandits at Zero, Arthur Noid for example.
Plus both Trailblazer and POD started on the C16 before going other formats.
I suspect he was watching the Jazz Club sketches. Niiiiiice. Grrrrrrreat. (etc)
As much as there are some good games for the Commodore 16 and Plus/4, there are some howlers too. @81632bitretro.com takes a look at a few here.
Is there anything hidden in the code which may indicate an author, such as (for example) a REM statement in BASIC, or something lurking in the 6502 machine code?
On the flip side, the constituency includes Longsight and Levenshulme - generally pretty progressive. They were normally Labour strongholds but enough woke up and smelt the coffee to get it over the line for the Greens. As someone who used to live in that constituency, I'm happy Hannah Spencer won.
Real Madrid and then possibly Bayern for me. Ouch. Arsenal potentially have an easier draw - they could have played us in the quarter final if the first ball drawn went the other way..
I take a look at the Americana re-release of Ad Infinitum, known as Dizasterblaster, on the Commodore 64. Was it more than just a music change to avoid issues, and did it still play well enough to be a budget shoot-em-up bargain? Find out.

Their name is mud and their mate Jerry is a race car driver, right?
I sincerely hope Ninja Master C64 is on there. "You have qualified" to be utter bobbins.
Seb's Place has an excellent video detailing the catalogue only version and then the full game. A great watch:

The unreleased C64 version did, by Martin Galway no less. The music from both versions were salvaged from Martin's work disks some time ago:
Version 1 - deepsid.chordian.net?file=/MUSICI...
Version 2 - deepsid.chordian.net?file=/MUSICI...
