Yes, it sucks that we are pushed out of bed by the early sun. That's nature, baby.

Now knowing that DST is a hoax, my statement still stands that it's sad that many rationalize it as a means to affect the sun rising and setting at particular times throughout the seasons.

If humans actually had that power, the whole of humanity would be fucked worse than it is now.

I get it, I worked sales, I know how important it is to keep your numbers up and how tempting it is to use any legal method possible, but if you can't respect your customers enough to respect a boundary, you should leave sales.

You get better sales and repeat customers through respect anyway.

I don't know who needs to read this but:

"No means no" also applies when money is involved. If you're trying to sell someone something, be willing to take "no" as an answer.

Pushing past it is not just aggressive sales, it's violating another person's reasonable boundaries. It is not harmless.

Allowing my religion to show, I completely understand why the ending of the Bible was so ruthless in how it changed everything.

Cause that's how badly we need it.

The farmers used DST for their crops. They didn't change the Earth's orbit, DST helped the farmers keep in check of their farming throughout the seasons.

I honestly think the sane thing is to not limit yourself to one specific thing if you know you feel trapped easily. It may not be as profitable or financially stable as really focusing on what sells, but it makes for a more sustainable career and happier life I think
