Georgia law demands most records are held for 24 months, and the electors list for 5 years. Problem is, the day before the 24 month timeframe expired, a flood of lawsuits were issued against every county to prevent destruction, since disposing of the records would have interfered with discovery.
Data entry errors by DDS cause false matches and duplicates in voter rolls, and the language for opting out is misleading people to register when they don't want to. Legislators are using those issues as an excuse to switch to opt in, instead of changing the question to yes or no for registration.

I already know there's lots of it that will likely be thrown out, so I'm mostly afraid of what will be left behind after a court rips it apart and how that will affect voters.

This is how it’s done. Certification of election results is not optional, and is a solemn responsibility whether you like the result or not. Partisan election denial needs to stop.
Across the nation and most of the world, no matter the challenges faced, elections officials will do what's needed to make sure the legally cast voices of all their voters will be heard.
The end result of an election is not the media calling a contest, but a thorough canvass and review of the events of an election. Those gold seals and signatures are so much more than decoration - they are the proof of the hard work of thousands of poll workers, officials, and canvassers.
I appreciate your asking to wait until local officials can provide input. Getting these changes recommended to the legislature as potential law changes is still better than getting them passed as yet more rules that contradict existing laws. We'll just have to try and speak with legislators.

I tuned into what I could after wrapping up my county's risk limiting audit (so kind of those who scheduled this meeting to do so during the risk limiting auditing period to ensure that county officials couldn't attend in any meaningful numbers)... It's distressing that the propaganda continues.
