Photograph taken tonight from the car park on the estate. The top of a brick wall is visible in the foreground before the top of a row of houses.Behind these are large, dark, silhouetted objects, part of which resembles Silbury Hill! From behind there is a glowing, yellowy sky, which fades into a greyer, yet still kind of sepia-tinged, expanse. Tree branches entering from the far right of the picture just add an extra uncanniness!
There's an uncanny feel to tonight. Like someone's put a sepia filter on & turned down the volume.
It appears to be emanating from a ghostly glow out to the west. Which just may have spirited Silbury Hill into Knowle West...

I dunno but lying in the dark blasting Xenakis' Persepolis at ear-splitting volume seems a very apt response to the current world situation

Thanks for sharing David. Articulated a lot of reasons why I bailed early on Breaking Bad. And for a piece over ten years old, still felt very relevant 👍

Yeah, I know they'd been polished & styled to within an inch of their lives for mainstream success by this point, but what a slice of pop perfection this is 😍
From March 1988

Obviously have had no love for Morrissey in an age, but 'Suedehead' popping up on an old TOTP reminded me I made an "Every Day Is Like Sunday" pun at work this week & no one knew what I was on about...

I really like the Zuniga, a lot more than I expected! The Vantzou too, probably my favourite of hers in a while. And thanks for the tip, don't know that one but will 😁

Due to a big chronic fatigue flare-up this week, I've spent a lot of time in bed, but that does mean I've been listening to fantastic 'lying in the dark' music... Okkyung Lee, Lawrence English & Lea Bertucci, Annea Lockwood, Crys Cole, and stunning new LPs from both Christina Vantzou & Dagmar Zuniga
